    Two differences of opinion

    Hubby and I have a debate going: one over scones; the other over potatoes and onions (LOL)

    I've started making scones (from recipes on this site) and my husband and I love them. They are a little soft. He says that scones he's had (in England) should be hard. I'm saying the recipe is right and they are soft. Who's right?

    #2 Storing potatoes and onions...
    He says they should never be stored near each other. I say I've never heard of that and I continue to have them both in the same area. Should they not be in the same area together?

    I've had scones in England - they were not hard - not like biscotti - but they were not spongy.

    Potatoes and onions should not be stored together. The onions release a gas that causes the onions to sprout.

    They don't sprout; they rot. Trust me. I speak from experience. icon_sad.gif

    Good scones aren't supposed to be hard.
