    This is completely fascinating. Coffee must have been introduced into the Scandinavian countries very long ago for it to have become so integrated into the Sami culture.

    Coffee was introduced into Scandinavia in the late 17th century - at first it was only available to the upper classes, but once the regular folk got to it towards the end of the 19th century, they really took to it! icon_smile.gif Coffee is a quintessential part of socialising in the Nordic countries.
