Hi, I love this site, so many yummy recipes but when I ask to convert recipes into metric I get volumes not weight, which is not easy to use so I waste loads of time trying to convert into grams!! icon_cry.gif

That's because so many recipes are from US contributors and we use volume measures. The converter translates weight to weight and volume to volume. A US cup is 240 ml, so you can use your liquid measuring cup to measure your dry ingredients.

There are some sites that provide guidance for volume to weight, but they do not agree with one another, so you do have to use some judgment.
