    Newbie "Fry Cook" Poster
Hi. As a newbie, I was perusing the site to see if I can create a recipe box such as the one I was able to make on Food Network. Am I overlooking this or is that not available? Thanks in advance and if I missed it, I apologize.

What we have on our site are cookbooks. Everyone has a main cookbook, and also cookbooks for recipes you submit and recipes you review. You can make as many cookbooks as you like.

When you are looking at a recipe that you want to save, move to the box to the right of the ingredients. Click the Add to Cookbook link. It will give you your available cookbooks - at first, it will just by my Main Cookbook. If you want to create a new cookbook, just go to the bottom and click Create a Cookbook. Name it however makes sense to you - Chicken Recipes, Crockpot Recipes, Beverages - whatever.

To find your cookbooks, just hover over or click the blue box to the right of your icon. A window will open with your personal stuff. The left hand column is your cookbooks. At the bottom is All My Cookbooks, which will open a screen showing all of your cookbooks. You can arrange them alphabetically or in whatever order makes sense to you. The Chrome browser, alas, will ignore your order, but FF and IE are fine with your order.

Hi and welcome to the site, friend. It's very nice to meet you! icon_smile.gif

We call our recipe storage facility a cookbook, but otherwise it's pretty much the same. To save a recipe, click on the ADD TO COOKBOOK link just to the right of the recipe directions.

To see your cookbook or cookbooks, hover the cursor over the turquoise box up near your name/icon to see the dropdown list. Your cookbook/s are in the first column.
