used ground turkey, making my own Turkish red pepper paste, parsley etc...

The are delicious and re filo, (no sugar) BONUS!! Healthy as can be!

Lovely!! You have a deft hand, Mickey -- phyllo can be temperamental sometimes. (I hate it when I have to defrost phyllo, and the sheets cling to one another!!)

But I agree, actually, about phyllo -- I have to avoid pastry, but phyllo is an exception because it's so thin and delicate.

Gday and again BIG BIG thanks you! ONLY cos it's YOU Zurie...will shae a secret I recently learned...mixture of egg, milk, olive oil and yogurt in between the layers and to top with and always keep a damp towel over remaining sheets too...lots of other small hints and tips too...don't deal too much with phyllo but this was fun and yum at the same time too!

    WHOO HOO! Again thank you!

I recently bought a borek filled with feta cheese at the market. It came with its own baking tray. It made a wonderful dinner with a glass of wine. Would make a great appetizer if cut up smaller. A lot of work to make, I think!

G'day and honestly, even making your own filo pastry (I used frozen)

was NOT very hard to do at all...VERY economical too

I hope through my Blog (on my About me page) as a home cook, I can inspire other people not to try and do as they are VERY easy to do too
