    How do I insure my hands last forever?

    It's made with flour, so is going to be vulnerable to any moisture. Sealing with varnish and keeping very very dry will give you the best chance for preserving. But it's not fired clay - I still have the handprint I made in kindergarten I won't tell you how many decades ago, but that was fired clay.
