Thanks, Rosie! And it's ok! LOL! My hubby isn't a blue cheese lover, either. You can leave that off or use your own favorite cheese if you like. (Sharp or white cheddar, swiss, parmesan, asiago, gouda, muenster, havarti...anything sound ok?) *Leftover steak and mashed potatoes can be used too, for a quickie version.

Ha ha ha... We brought home left over prime rib and smashed pots from our neighbors house last night!!! And I'm looking at a sleeve of Ritz crackers right now. I would choose swiss on mine... broiled lightly (as you stated in the recipe), and I've got some on hand!!! Woo-hoo!!!. I'm gonna make an appy lunch of this for when hubby gets home from plowing. But I just realized that I'm not the one who made the pots & steak. I will add a little HV Ranch seasoning mix to the pots before making, but will it still count on rating them??? (P.S. they used greek yogurt in the pots). Ask an "elf" when you speak to one. LOL!

Did you go to ritzkickoff.com yet? This would be a perfect fit for them. You only need 1 ingredient off their list (besides the Ritz cracker), and one of them is hot sauce. You're using siracha... so that would count! Free trip to New Orleans! Check it out. Bye for now. (P.S. I still say to just have the "elves" add an "i" to the title... "nacho-ism"... LMAO

Oh geez Wildflour... I just realized that if you enter the Ritz contest with your appy, be sure to #1 change the name, #2 switch up a few ingredients, etc... they (as all major contests do) will make you sign (agree to) a promise that the recipe has not been published elsewhere. I think you have a winner, hun. (Its gotta be in by tomorrow)!!!

As for today... I'm starting prep on hubbys "HVRanch appy lunch" as I type! I don't think I'm gonna wait for him to get home from plowing... I'm starving!!! LOL. I love this contest! So many recipes I want to try before votin is over. Best wishes to all!!!

Thank you, Rosie!!! Will do!! icon_biggrin.gif Hope you had a nice anniversary!

    To the elves:
You typed in my recipe incorrectly. I submitted it very carefully, even counted all the letters and spaces to make sure it was 64 characters or less. It is to be:

Ranch Steakhouse Nachos wBacon, Blue Cheese & Shallot Rings #RSC

Can you please correct? It looks kinda stupid the way it is! LOL!!

    Thank you! icon_biggrin.gif
Hi Wildflour, The "m" has been removed from Nachos. The title had to be shortened from your original title because the final published version cut off #RSC.

Well, I don't know why it would have done that, because if you count the whole thing, it is exactly 64 characters INCLUDING the #RSC AND spaces. I would just appreciate it if it was the way I had it to begin with. I don't understand why there is a problem. ?? There should be no problem at all.

The title: Ranch Steakhouse Nachos wBacon, Blue Cheese & Shallot Rings #RSC does not fit. The "#RSC" is cut off -- I checked the longer title again, and it does not work. For the duration of the contest, the recipe title must have #RSC in the title. You can change the title to what you prefer when the contest is over.

Well, then, I guess you guys need to change the part under where you type to not say 64 characters then. If 64 characters do not actually fit. I was just going by what it says. It isn't my fault.

Uhm, my title is still butchered, the "m" is still there, and still no photo though it said my photo published (in the thread). Wow. I give up.

Why is my recipe title still all a mess in the main thread? And why is my photo still not on the main thread as well??

You know, according to the rules and the judging criteria percentages, my recipe doesn't stand a CHANCE now. ALL the way around. People skim through recipes. Photos get their attention first. My photo is not there like everyone else who submitted one. I worked hard on that photo and it should be there just like everyone elses. The second thing that people do after the photo got their attention, is read the title. It's a mess. THAT is a total turnoff. A recipe title is a well thought-out plan to get someone's attention to get them to click on it to check it out further. No one is even going to do that now. If a title is a mess, it just lost all integrity. "If someone can't even type in a title, the recipe must be a mess, too." I'd pass it by, wouldn't you? Not to mention, another part of the judging is about clarity of recipes. That's gone now, too. You guys really blew it. I was nice. I waited. I posted multiple times that there was a problem. And it's still there where it counts the most. The thread is a mess still with no photo, and when clicked on further, the rest still isn't right, either. If this were for a basket of crappy jellies it really wouldn't matter so much, but this is a BIG contest and a LOT is at stake! All I wanted was for it to be right, just as I entered it, and had a fair chance like everyone else. Now that's totally gone, too. I did nothing wrong. You guys really dropped the ball.

Hi Jubes: I started re-reading all the posts from day 1... depending where you live, I could send you a flat, HVR dressing package, just so you could try it, and "pretend" to play along!

If I made a mistake with my submission, is it too late to make a change? I left out one of the ingredients and didn't add the hashtag to my title, I forgot!

Hi barefoot: I'm not one of the "elves" that is running this, but I would suggest maybe re-entering correctly, then after the contest you could maybe get the 1st one deleted from the page. Just a thought.
I'm sure someone will come to your aid! They're good people here icon_wink.gif

Baretoofblessd, I see two entries for 'Cheesy Chicken Bacon Ranch Casserole." I'll make sure your second corrected version is entered and the first submission is rejected.
