    Peaches and Puff Pastry

icon_question.gif I'd like a recipe that uses puff pastry and some of the peaches I put up last season to make an easy dessert with my 4 y/o grandson. I'm thinking of mixing the peaches with cinnamon, brown sugar, & touch of vanilla/almond extract, and then baking in puff pastry. After cooling, I'd probably dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with chocolate. I think he'd find it impressive and fun, and it would be fairly quick. He loves to cook with me, but attention span is limited! I think these ideas will work, but I need help with amounts and technique- how to combine the peach mixture with the puff pastry (before or after baking?).
If someone has a recipe using fresh or commercially canned peaches, I can adapt it. Thanks for your help. icon_smile.gif

    Apple Galette With Puff Pastry

You may have to drain the canned juices and remove as much liquid as possible before arranging.

If you would like to use the juice some how, you would have to thicken it.
I think they would be too runny for this application. I'd stick with using a preserve as suggested.

    Drizzle with chocolate after baking.
