Re Whalin's Seven Grain Bread posted 20FEB2011 by Papagayita...
I'm working through this recipe and find in step 2 of directions that I should add 7 grain cereal but don't see the amount listed as ingredient... wonder how much would work or if I missed something... any help or suggestions appreciated...[http://www.food.com/recipe/whalins-seven-grain-bread-449126]

I did some looking online and every time I found a copy of this recipe it was the same as what is posted here. I am wondering if they are considering the flours & cornmeal the 7 grain cereal b/c I don't see anywhere in the directions where you add them.

Yes and I have messaged the recipe author so maybe an answer is forthcoming.

I think the original recipe was posted on tastebook, but they wanted me to join to message the author, Whalin. I even found a Carol Whalin on Pinterest, but she pinned a different whole grain bread.

Most recipes I saw cooked the 7 grain cereal before adding it, but this recipe cooks oats, not the 7 grain cereal. I found one recipe that was close - it used 3/4 cup.

    Good luck.

That's about what I was guessing. Thanks for the suggestion and maybe the exact answer will show up. Thanks.
