Morning everyone. We had the perfect NYE/NYD, too. Pizza, movies, kids and their friends, fireworks at MN, football, and more good food. Loved it.
Here is the plan, Mon-Fri:

Tuesday: Basketball game night-- Fiesta Pizza and salad
Wednesday: Cheesy Manicotti, roasted asparagus, salad, and Banana Pudding Trifle
Thursday: after-school swim meet-- Hot Ham Salad Sandwiches, chips, and dill pickle spears
Friday: Basketball game night--eat out, then Pitcher Bloody Mary
Work Lunches: Red Lentil Soup w/ All-Occasion White Bread (Bread Machine) and Wild Rice Chicken Salad
Breakfast: English Muffin Delight
Snacks: Peanut Butter Cookies
Drop off meal for friend w/ NHL: Macaroni Salad, Deviled Eggs, Copycat Olive Garden Minestrone Soup by Todd Wilbur w/ garlic bread yum!! I love cheese manicotti. Now I have a craving!

I'm a twinie, Mickey and I have been friends for some time. Since we are so much a like in so many many ways, food wise and personally - we came up with Twinies or Twins. It's silly, but it just fits. We have been using it for some time now.

Hi there --
I managed to have a list and a shopping opportunity without having first made a plan, but I think I'll be fine thanks to my neighbor. DH has been tutoring their son in trig/algebra 2, so to say thanks she sent over 2 casseroles (1 now in the freezer) and a quiche! It really helps esp now that I have upped my working from 20 h/wk to 32 h/wk.
So here we go:
Sat – chicken and rice casserole from Mary, brussels sprouts
Sun – quiche lorrraine from Mary with some kind of veg (plus salad, but we have that every night so I don't tend to write it down)
Mon – rest of chicken/rice casserole w/veg
Tue – Salmon Soup with homemade bread from freezer (usually I make it with leeks which is awesome, but I will make do with onions this time)
Wed – Black-Eyed Peas With Mustard Greens and Rice – never ended up making this on New Year’s; better late than never!
Thu – Unstuffed Cabbage Roll Casserole but with ground turkey, with whole wheat egg noodles
Fri – leftovers or different plan entirely; my parents may be coming to town
Looking forward to a weather warmup later this week. --M

Trying again to get better about posting my menus! I am going to attempt to plan two weeks instead of just one, since so often things get pushed ahead for me anyway. I want to cut out half of my grocery trips, and I know that for me, the less time spent in the grocery store does result in less money getting spent on "extras."
I don't plan for specific days, just plan out the number of meals, including leftovers nights and eating out nights and post the list on the fridge. I then either pick something to make from that list,or let my BF or DD choose - as long as it is on my fridge list they can choose it. I cross the meal off once it gets made, and then once everything has been crossed off, the new list goes up.
I have been bad for the past two months and not really planning much at all - and it has resulted it far too many meals out at the last minute, unhealthy eating, and a bugger grocery bill. So hoping to get back to my routine, which works for me when I stick to it.
Here is my plan:
Meal 1 - Tuna Casserole, with a side salad, Boston Market Cornbread
Meal 2 - leftovers
Meal 3 - Painter's Pasta, garlic bread, Jeanne's Tossed Salad With Italian Dressing
Meal 4 - leftovers
Meal 5 - Chicken Tacos, Tex-Mex Black Beans & Saffron Rice, guacamole
Meal 6 - Soup & Sandwich Night
Meal 7 - eat out
Meal 1 - Meatloaf or Beef Stew or Pot Roast (depends on meat price), mashed potatoes, side salad, cornbread
Meal 2 - leftovers
Meal 3 - Grilled or Broiled Rosemary Chicken or Ranch Burgers
, Dreamsicle Jello Salad, corn on the cob or some other side veg
Meal 4 - Chinese Chicken with Black Pepper Sauce, rice
Meal 5 - Pizza, side salad
Meal 6 - leftovers
Meal 7 - Almond Chicken Casserole, side veggie, Whole Wheat Yogurt Honey Dinner Rolls Bread Machine
I also plan out 2 desserts - one type of cookies or brownies, and one type of other dessert. This time it will be Lemon Crinkle Cookies
and Easy Creamy Chocolate Pudding
.

Welcome back HF!!
I think it's great that menu planning happens and that people figure out what kind of system works best with their lifestyle. It is really not one size fits all.
I especially agree about reducing shopping trips!!!
