I prefer taking pictures in the natural light too, but we live in NW Pennsylvania and are still getting nasty snowy weather right now. I can't expect nice weather here until at least Memorial day and then it only lasts until around Halloween. I try to place my plates under the hood vent on my stove because all of the light is concentrated in one small spot. The only problem with that is that it gives a very orange radiant light and a lot of shadows. I can't wait until it gets nice here so that I can use natural light outside.

Ha, ha... I've tried the "under the hood" pics too, and they still stink. No good natural light in our kitchen or dining room anytime of year. I've gotten to the point where I make Hubby hold a garage shop light over the top of the plate to get a photo. He knows that if he doesn't, he will not be eating that food anytime soon! icon_smile.gif

Forget the dining room or kitchen, I take my pictures in the spare bedroom as that's where the best light is icon_lol.gif (Kitchen is on the north side of the house, spare bedroom is on the south side...) Before I moved last year, I took all my pictures in the (only) bedroom in the windowsill, which was on the west side of the apt.

We have no light in any room. I can usually manage a decent picture as long as it's not a close up. I just can't get a great picture on this crap $50 Kodak camera.

Ha, ha... I never thought of doing that Flower. Our kitchen & dining room are also on the north side (not to mention that the windows in both of them are covered by an enclosed porch and trees). I will try our guest bedroom next time! LOL icon_lol.gif

Every time I get caught up on tags in a game I find something new. I just happened upon another dessert recipe tonight for Easter, that I want to make with the grand-kids when they come over then. So I am tagging "I" to make IAteMyGluestick #55017's creation of Bunny In A Cup! #40462. This will be a lot of fun! (I'm sure just as much fun as the cupcakes we will be decorating together, also). icon_smile.gif
