I grow herbs! Each year or at least every other year I try something new: two years ago it was hyssop. Curry leaves didn't work out and I have never been able to grow cilantro which is most unfortunate.
A short list of herbs I grow and use often in the summer: salad burnet, lemon verbena, pineapple sage, etc.

Kathy sent a paper telling about each spice and suggested uses. The vanilla sea salt was suggested for scallops and meaty white fish like alibut or cod. It did say to try it on squash or pumpkin soup as well as a topping for flourless chocolate cake. The one that really grabbed my attention was sweet and salty brownies.
The vanilla sugar can be sprinkled on cakes, cookies, and pancakes. It also great sprinkled on fresh berries or sprinkled on fresh pineapple and then broiled for a few minutes.
