Hi Everyone,
I apologize for being late on a couple of my tags.
I will have them made and reviewed by tomorrow. Sorry for the delay!
Nancy
It's OK, Nancy, we know you'll get them done. I, personally owe Deb a review on Peanuty Rolo Cookies, but someone keeps eating all my Rolos.

I promise it isn't me; although, they are my absolute favorite. Good thing I don't wear dentures (yet ) or one day they'll will come right out with that caramel.
Do you remember slowpokes (sp?) -- that caramel candy on a stick??? I never see those anymore. They bring back memories when going to the movie (I'm really dating myself now) was 35 cents and you could buy an all-day sucker that really lasted all day.
Those were the days! Now you can't afford popcorn or a drink! Even a bottle of water costs a fortune.
Nancy
I'm right there with you! I remember Slow Pokes, and they also sold Black Cows.....does anyone remember those. They were made by the same company. But we didn't get them at the movie theater. I got them at the drug store next to my school.
I don't remember slow pokes, but it seems like Black Cows were chocolate Sugar Daddys - I really loved Sugar Mamas and Sugar Babies! Got some of the Babies at Cracker Barrel, to introduce DS to them, last summer. My fave thing to eat at the movies, besides popcorn is still Jordan almonds. Used to be able to get them at the theatre, (I think the brand was Banner) but now I have to get them at the drugstore, and sneak them in!

I truly understand -- I feed my grandkids at Cici's Pizza before the movie and load them up on soft drinks so I don't have to spend a fortune at the theater. So sad! I also stop by the store on the way and let them buy some candy. You gotta do what you gotta do. Heck, if I were to buy popcorn and soft drinks, my bill would be $50 -- that wouldn't even include the price of the tickets.
I forgot to mention that in the "old" days, we were able to stay at the theater all day long and watch at least 3 different movies in a row for that same price. At intermission, they would have popcorn eating contests and "twist" contests and give away free passes. My brother always won the twist contest.
I miss the good ole' days!
Nancy
PS And I swore when I was young that I would never tell those stories like my grandparents and parents did -- you know the ones where they had to walk 20 miles in the snow to get to school!

Hi Bonnie,
I found my tamarind concentrate at an Indian market; however, tamarind is also used in Mexican cooking as well.

So, I forgot to update yesterday morning, and when I remembered, I couldn't get online. DH had to come in and do some computer geekery (read: re-set router/airport...I'm always nervous messing with 'stuff' ) And I had plans to see friends last night. Sooooo sorry - but, I'm off to update now!

I've never had 'tamarind', per se, but I believe it is an ingredient in Steak Sauce? (I just checked - not A-1; maybe Heinz 57?) I'll do a little more exploring on my own - now, I'm intrigued, and Baby Kato, that pic just SELLS it!
