I've come to confess... I was bad today. icon_redface.gif One of our freight reps came by this afternoon and he always brings a box of cookies from one of the local bakeries and they are soooooo good. I ate..... more than one. I knew when he came in that I should move them far, far away from my desk but I didn't. icon_rolleyes.gif Oh well, tomorrow is another day. <sigh>

Laury, that would be stressful having all those people coming. Try and get some rest when you can. Happy to see you are keeping up with your walking.

Alisa Lea, don't worry, like we say all the time, it is hard to break those bad habits. I think you may have earned an extra cookie with 1 hour Zumba, I hear it is a hard workout.

Me, it is getting harder to shot down excuses. I almost gave in today. But I am still not sore enough to take a day off. I should soon though, as I really had to push myself to get in my 60 minutes. Day 15, and down 1.4 lbs, so not to bad at all. Would have liked to see more of a drop but I know I am not eating properly. One thing at a time.

Alisa Lee, although you feel that you did "bad" by eating a cookie or more. I don't see it as that bad. You learned for next time that if you don't want to eat cookies, move them far away from you. As long as I learned something when I do something not the best, I just make a different choice the next time.

tasb, great job at continuing with exercise. I wish I were able to do it daily.

We decided not to get the printer working better so I cancelled the computer experts visit. My printer won't print in black ink. It will print in color ink. What I do is copy the black ink, paste it in word, change text color and print. For me, it works. Tom is refusing to learn how to copy and paste so he can't print..

Tried to post yesterday but the puter froze. I thought I either would have a dozen of the same post or none at all.

Zumba, eh? That's a hard workout. Bet you burned the cookie calories before you even ate them!

Today we're back to about 50. After several days of single digits and 20s this is heaven. I've been outside cleaning the re-cycles that blew to the side of the house, hanging laundry,& lugging water and wood. I can't seem to exercise formally more than 5 minutes in a row.

My treat/dessert is a baked apple cobbler. It is actually low cal as I use stevia natural sweetner. Only 1 tbsp butter for 2 servings (split the recipe with hubby). Oatmeal is my main grain of the day. It tastes decadent but is healthy and satisfying.

Have a fantastic rest of the day. (toasting with a glass of seltzer water to your health & success) icon_biggrin.gif

Granny Moses you are getting a lot of exercising in!!

I am going to be going to the doctor today. After that we go to breakfast and the library. Then we have our living room area, where the computer is, cleaned. I won't be around much today but I will check in when I have time.

Laury, sounds like we are having the same problems with our printers. Mine says it has half a thing of black left but it won't print black. I hope you had a good day after the Dr's appointment.

Granny Moses, sounds like you got some exercise in there. Packing wood and water, man I remember that chore back when I was a kid. icon_lol.gif Making myself sound really old here. One house we lived in the water froze when the temperature got too low, so we would have to get water from the neighbors house for a couple weeks to a month. Now days Child Services would take your kids away if that happened.

Jacqueline, good to see you posting, get lots of rest and hope that shoulder heals fast.

    Kerry, welcome to the group.

Me, well yesterday was a rest day, I was lying on the couch all night, just no energy to move, happy hubby put supper in the oven for us so I didn't have to do anything. I think my body was saying enough,it is ok I did 15 days straight so not bad at all, I was lucky before to get in 5 without complaints and 2 days rest. I wasn't sore at all today. I did another 60 minutes on the elliptical.

Happy Friday y'all! Sounds like everybody is hanging in there this week, sticking with it. Yea us!!! Hope you feel better soon Jacqueline.

Except for my cookie binge the other day I've eaten pretty healthy all week. Zumba two nights this week and I'm planning on going to the Saturday morning class. So we'll see what the scale has to say on Monday. If the weather holds I'd like to go to the Farmer's Market Sunday. I haven't been since the beginning of December. Have a great weekend and stay warm!

Jacqueline, its great to see you able to read and to post!!

wave.gif Kerry! I'm glad that you are joining us!!

tasb, isn't it great when your hubby helps out!! I do rely in Tom a lot. If he decides I can't do something safely, he knows either it won't get done or he will do it. You are doing well with exercising!!
I just wish I knew how you get enough energy for an hour of exercise.

Alisa Lee, you are doing wonderfully with exercise by Zumba!!

I got through the doctor's visit and we are reducing some medication, Right now it's just 3 pills but reducing the quantity at all is good. I easily downloaded a book from the library and out it on my Kindle. Have a great weekend everyone,

Bonnie G and Debbwl, how are you two doing?

Happy Friday everyone, just a few minutes to check in and hope all is well with everyone. I've had a light case of the flu the past 2-3 days and just starting to feel better so haven't been on line much. Sure glad I got the flu shot as even this light case knocked me out of commission for 3 days and still don't feel 100%.

Hope you've all got a nice weekend planned.

    I am EVIL.........

My scale told me so, I got on it for my weekly weigh in and it said "I 666". I wasn't believing what I was seeing so I got off and on again and it came up with the same thing, then I realized it was telling me I was 166.6 lbs. LOL Well I am down 2.2 lbs so far this year, so I am happy, better than being upset I am up 20.2 lbs from 1 year and 3 months ago.

Another 60 minutes on the elliptical. I am getting better at this whole working out thing called exercise.

Alisa Lea, good for you getting over the binge and getting back on track. Way to go with your Zumba classes. I had a chance to check it out tonight but I was too freaking tired. They are having 6 classes out here where I live, I bought my girls down for their class but decided that I was too tired to drive home and go back to try the adults class in 15 minutes time. Took me 10 just to go one way, if it wasn't winter I could probably do it in 7.

Laury, happy to hear you are able to reduce some of meds. WOOHOO for you, all the work you have done is paying off. Keep it up. If you can't get off it then a reduction is better.

Bonnie, good to see you checking in. Sorry to hear you had to flu. I only had it once, thankfully now days the shot is covered for me and my whole family, but still can't convince my youngest it is for the best she gets it. She was too freaked out to get it so we had to walk away.

Bonnie, hope you feel better soon. This year's flu seems to be a a bad one. DH & I were both sick right after the beginning of January.

Laury, congrats on less medication. That's always a good thing!

Tasb, way to go on 2.2 down. If you have a chance to give Zumba a try you should check it out. I'm one of those people who hates to exercise. Over the years I've joined gyms, signed up for aerobics classes, started a walking program more times than I can count, but never stuck with it for more than a few weeks. I've been doing Zumba for about a year and a half now and I love it. I actually look forward to going. It's a work out but we have fun. I just love my instructor and she makes sweating fun. We don't sweat, we "glow". icon_lol.gif

Ok ladies, I need to make my grocery list and get ready to go glow at 9:30. Later today DH and I are going to go look at bathroom fixtures. We're thinking about starting the much needed bathroom remodel. icon_eek.gif Since we only have one bathroom in the house that's going to be an experience! Happy weekend everybody!

Bonnie G, I hope that you feel better soon. I'm glad that you had the flu so it was only minor. I am not allowed to get flu shots because they are incubated in egg shells. I have a sensitivity to eggs.
tasb, your using the elliptical daily for an hour is impressive.Doing that plus zumba might be too much for your body.
Alisa Lee, good luck on the bathroom remodeling.
I did my 30 minutes of exercising today. I will do it tomorrow and maybe Monday. Right now I can barely stand up because of hip pain. The entire body from my heck to the bottom of my feet is arthritis which is why I hurt in so many different places.
