    maintain your weight. That's a real accomplishment.

    Laury, hope you are feeling better soon.

    I am 'only just' managing to maintain my weight, we have five house guests
    and food is the focus of every day. Having fun but trying to be careful. icon_rolleyes.gif

    Laury, sorry I re-read that and it wasn't very clear. I didn't exercise on Friday, but I did on Saturday.

    Leggy Peggy, good for you being able to maintain while entertaining house guests.

    Me, well I couldn't exercise today, I picked up a cold. Was only a matter of time before I did, my girls still like sleeping with me when they are sick, and being they have both been sick I am lucky I didn't get it sooner. It doesn't seem like a bad one, just a bit of a sore throat and a little stuffy, so far. I spent the day on the couch. Hoping it doesn't get too bad as I have a full day in town on Tuesday. My son has an appointment at 10:45 where we discuss putting him on meds, I hope we get something tomorrow. Then he has a Boys Group after school and I pick him up from that at 4:30. So between appointments I am going to have to bum around town. Usually I just go window shopping when I am alone. But if I am too sick then he will have to miss his group.

    Jac - sounds like you are improving even though I'm sure it seems to be taking a very long time to you. Just keep following the docs orders.

    We had a good time with friends at our Super Bowl gathering, I don't follow football at all but enjoy visiting. Was disappointed though as my favorite part is the half time show and the commercials and over here they don't show either of those - just local commercials and the game. Oh well, the company was good.

    tasb, I hope that you are well enough to window shop Tuesday and that your son will be given the medication he needs. Feel better!!

    Bonnie G, I 'm glad that you had fun visiting your friends. I don't follow football either.

    I am still having a rough time being ill. I keep going from freezing to too hot within minutes. I think another day in bed may be recommended. My brain needs to figure this out. See you tomorrow.

    Well, in prep for a better lifestyle we bought a treadmill yesterday. I walked a mile in 21 minutes this morning. I will be walking my second mile after dinner tonight. I will do this every day this week. Next monday it will be three miles a day. One goal at a time.

    I'm also-starting today- going to be a dirty vegetarian for one month. (that would be meat once or twice a week).

    As well, no bread, rice, potato, or pasta. I plan on keeping wine in my food pyramid icon_cool.gif

    wave.gif Welcome Dibs! I just wanted to welcome you to the group.
    Coming here and talking about our successes and our challenges to develop a better lifestyle is worthwhile. When I get upset about the challenges I know that I can come talk and that always seems to help a lot.
    Right now I feel bad that I can't exercise this week. It does help talking about it/ My body is having a rough time regulating itself for the last few days. Freezing becomes sweating from heat in just a few minutes. It simply doesn't make sense. I wish it would stop.

    Welcome Dibs, sounds like a great plan and a better start you're on. I like that you are building up by taking smaller steps and then moving forward. Will be excited to hear how it goes for you.

    Laury, give yourself time to feel better it may take a few days.

    While out walking yesterday, trying to increase my speed; I tripped and fell while crossing the street. It was really scary as traffic was coming and I hit hard when I fell and couldn't get up but a man came and helped me up. It was sooooo embarrassing, but this morning I am sore on my whole right side. I didn't really hurt anything except sore muscles and my pride - but think I'm going to be sore for a few days. So guess it'll be very little moving on my part for the rest of the week. icon_redface.gif

    Bonnie G, I am so sorry that ou got hurt when you fell. (The reason my doctor wants to keep me a little heavier than people my height is so I have kind of a bumper when I fall. I fall on the average of twice a week.) I hope that when you get some rest your body will feel better.

    Hey there K9 & Dib's! Nice to see y'all here. Laury & tasb I hope you both feel better soon, Glad your shoulder is feeling better Jacqueline, just don't over do it. Leggy Peggy enjoy your company. You can eat healthier when they're gone. Oh Bonnie be careful! I tripped in the Dollar General parking lot about 6 months ago. icon_rolleyes.gif Bashed my knee AND embarrassed myself.

    Pretty much same old, same old here. Working a lot of hours, staying on track pretty well, Zumba (I only got in two classes last week instead of three, darn it). I did lose another 2 pounds. 2 more to go to get back to my lowest weight from last year and then onward (downward!). Have a great week everybody!

    Sitting on my back side caught up with me today. I gained two pounds, hoping it is just water weight from not sleeping good last night. I have noticed when I have a bad nights sleep that I tend to weigh more in the mornings. If it is not gone in the morning I am going to have to figure out a way to get some exercise in. Hoping soon I can use my seated elliptical.

    icon_biggrin.gif Hi, FFFriends. Great seeing progress happening. The team is growing fast.

    My fitbit came but we could never get it to work. We're getting a refund. Now I'm not sure if I want the ultra model or the fitbit one. I like that they track stair climbing. Anyone use them? Would love your input.

    Hubby's grandma will be having a big 95th birthday bash the 24th. I'm glad I'm toning up. Still need some help, though, so invested in some shapeware.

    Keep up the good work, everyone. Move forward, stand still, just don't step back!
