Laury, happy hear that you are healing and able to start your walks again.

Recipe Reader, congrats on the couple pounds.

Me, I have two days so far. I lucked out and didn't gain weight when I was sick I did gain inches, but I think that is due to all my muscles relaxing. I lucked out, hubby and I got new cell phones today. This one is way faster, no crashing, easier to type on and tabbed browsing.

Sounds like everyone is doing better and I am still sitting on the side lines. I wish I could get motivated to do something.

Hope everyone has a great week-end, I just finished watching the derby and am thinking of going to bed and it isn't 8 PM yet. I have had a rough week.

tasb, that's great news that you didn't gain weight while you were ill. Now you can start exercising and lose inches and pounds. I'm pleased that you enjoy your new phone. I was given a new phone about 6 weeks ago and I am enjoying it. The phone is free and they give me free minutes each month. Safe Link is a good thing.

I hope you got your sleep yesterday, Jacqueline! Some time between 8 and 8:30 I fell asleep last night watching TV in bed. Tom discovered that after his shower and turned off the TV. I was able to walk all 3 10 minute walks today. I still have some bruises but it isn't that bad. I feel more relaxed now that I know what to do about a lung doctor.

I am going to plug my area today. Tonight at 9 PM EST actually I guess that is daylight savings time, on HGTV they are featuring an old school that has been turned into a bed and breakfast. This school is located about 5 miles from my house. My dad also attended school there as a little boy. So to see the area I am from please tune in and watch.

That's great Jacqueline. It will be a lot of fun to have an 'inside' look.
Pity we can't get that program in Australia.

Jacqueline, dont worry you will be moving soon. Get some rest.

Laury, good to hear you got your walks in today, and that you got some much needed rest.

Me, well I took yesterday off my legs were just killing me. Well today was alot better. I was out in the garden this morning, weeding, I got 1/2 of it done, also mowed the walkways, I had too because there were too many honeybees flying about as there are tons of dandylions blooming. Then after a very restful afternoons and evening. I was ready to let my workout slide. I am happy I didnt because I had one of the best workouts. I powered through it all, got a awesome Draw ( pulling in my tummy muscles), my lower ribs were feeling the pull. Then I was able to hold a Plank for 1 min 10 sec.

Wow, Tasb, sounds like you are doing great.

I need thoughts and prayers this week. You know shortly after I had my weight loss surgery my doctor moved to Ohio which is probably a six-seven hour drive for me so I have not seen him in over a year and half. Bariatric surgeons do not like to take other doctors patients but I found one in the town where I go to the orthopedic and have called an requested to be seen by her. She will have to accept me first but I pray that she does. I was turned down by one in TN last week, said I needed one closer to home. Duh, he was close to home but not as close as this one. So I am thinking the Lord is giving me time to look around and find a good one even closer.

I did get my grass mowed on Saturday which was a major accomplishment but even better is I didn't have any shoulder pain at all on Saturday, realized this when I was going to bed. Now Sunday morning was a different story, I awoke and knew that it was raining by the feeling in my shoulder. I am happy, things seem to be going in a good direction for me now if I could get the weight started once again in the right direction.

Jacqueline, I missed the program but I bet there will be information about it on the HGTV site. I will check it out in a few minutes.

tasb, the weeding you did yesterday can be considered exercise. I know if I ever weeded it would be. Then you got your workout in. That's fantastic!!

Jacqueline, I will pray this new doctor will see you, You also exercised hard by mowing your lawn. That's wonderful!!

Recently Tom has been going through a lot of the things he has collected for years. In one envelope he found many pictures of us, friends of mine we saw when we went to L. A. in 1998, and other pictures, He has all his stuff in boxes and bags but it takes up a lot of room which we went to get back. I can't believe the way I looked in about 2002 and now!! I weighed quite a bit more then. I finally got them into Photobucket so eventually I can get an older picture and a newer picture together. I don't like how I looked at all.

WOW Laury, I can see a difference. You look alot healthier. Keep up your hard work.

Me, I am a little tired tonight, I spent 1 1/2 hours overtime yesterday making today's lunch, we were worried about out bus and the kids had a field trip. It shouldn't have taken that long but I was tired. So since everything was done today I went on the field trip. Made for a long day, but it was fun, and freaking hot 30+C. Not the kind of temp you expect this time of year. Then when I came home the girls wanted to play in the sprinkler so I went and finished weeding the garden. Took an hour. Came in had a quick nap, then a late dinner. I just finished my workout for today.

tasb -- sounds like you are getting back to normal. Glad the field trip was fun.

Jacqueline, I am thinking of you and praying the doctor will take you as a patient.

tasb, I'm pleased that you are able to exercise again!!

tasb and Leggy Peggy, I am thrilled you do see a difference. I have another photo which I will paste much later. There is another photo which shows me much heavier. I almost cried. I somehow, years ago, saved it in a word document and I don't know how to change that. It is also saved on a whole 81/2 X11
paper. I will eventually get it figured out.

Here is the photo I saved in the word document -

Laury, you should be able to take a screen shot of the picture.
This is how I would do it on a Mac.

Open the document that has the pic you want.
Hold down the shift and command keys at the same time and press number 4.
Then let go of all three keys. A crossfire symbol should appear.
Then take your cursor to the top left corner of what you need a screen shot of
and, holding down the mouse or touchpad, trace around what you want a pic of.
Let go and you should hear a click which means the pic has been taken.
It will have been saved to your desktop.

I hope that all makes sense. If you have a PC or if these tips here don't
quite make sense, do a google search for
How to take a screen shot for a Mac or PC, whichever you have.

I do want you all to know that I have read every day this week but not been posting much. Seems I don't have much to say but today I do.

The doctor in Pikeville, KY accepted me as a patient and I am thrilled to death. I see her on my Dad's birthday which is May 21th. Not all that far off either.

Thanks for the positive thoughts and prayers.

You all mean the world to me.

Laury I think you look much better in the last picture than the others. You have done well.
