It was very low on my stomach just above my hip bone, I could feel it straining when I was doing pushups. Very weak stomach muscles. I am amazing my right side hasnt bothered me at all. Normally after any new kind of abs workout I get cramps from my appendix scar. I am feeling better today. I took a second day off yesterday because I had a really bad headache come on last night. I think I will go give my exercises a try soon. Before the couch gets to know my butt again and starts calling again icon_lol.gif .

I was busy this morning/early afternoon. I was given the warning the other day we are out of bread in the freezer. Then yesterday DS told me we are almost out of jam, which I make too. Been over 10 years since I bought any at home. I bought pectin and said I hope we have enough until next weekend, as I had seen an ad on our loocal Kijiji for strawberries. Then I thought about it last night. I have lots of frozen strawberries. I can make jam with those. So I started defrosting the berries, and making the bread. Well I started digging for empty jars I found 4 full jars in the cupboard, and 4-5 in the freezer. Sheesh spoiled kids. Thinking 8-9 jars is almost out.

Wow, tasb, you always knock yourself out with the cooking. I'm impressed.

Laury, hope your prescription is filled soon and that you can find a way
to see a lung doctor more often.

Alisa, glad you had a lovely break. Back to business now. icon_smile.gif

Jacqueline, glad you got your password. Have a safe trip to Kentucky.

We start our travels in a week, so I won't be around much. But I always
lose weight when we travel, so that's a plus.

I am having company Thursday and they are staying until Sunday. It is my aunt that is 87 years old. Needless to say I probably won't be around much during that time.

    Hope everyone is doing wonderful.

I hope everyone is doing okay. I am checking here daily and then going to the Word Games where they rarely have a host. I enjoy it especially when I can't exercise. I got the prescription yesterday and started taking it. The postnasal drip seems to be reduced, at least a little. We decided that I should wait until Friday to start exercising. The heat seems to be making Tom feel pretty bad. He went to bed for the night before 5. I am the one up tonight. I do have to get my Kindle so I can read out here.
    Have a good week all!!

I am doing well. My stomach muscles felt like they were almost healed last night when I was exercising. But I decided to give it a couple more days before attempting push-ups or other tummy exercises. I am on Day 10 on Squat Challenge and doing 30 minutes on the elliptical when I do exercise. I am feeling very tired tonight. I did baking with some of the kids today at school. This class is giving their Dad's Cinnamon Rolls for a present. I like doing baking with kids but I have to let go of all of my perfectionism to do this. I have to remind myself that kids don't know food safety. I am also planning our Award's Night snacks. I should email the lady I am doing this with.

Oh, Tasb, cinnamon rolls sure sound good!!

I'm at the beach this week, so I don't up at 5:30 to walk. At home I get up at 5:30 for two reasons: DH gets up at five and leaves at 5:30, so I am awake; and right now because of our hot daily temperatures, it's the nicest time of the day for walking in the summer.
Here, where it is cooler, I am walking a mile in the morning about 7:30 (had to wear a sweatshirt today!) and another mile again sometime in the afternoon. It's been really very nice. I'm very lucky to be able to spend time here.

tasb, have fun working with the kids. It's great that your stomach feels better,

RecipeReader, around here morning is the only time to exercise because it gets very hot and muggy early. Enjoy your time at the beach!! You are doing great by walking the amount you do.

I am doing much better today. I should be able to exercise tomorrow unless something unexpected happens.

I thought I'd check in today before my company gets here. I am doing OK, just tired from doing all the extra stuff preparing for company.

Hope everyone has a great rest of the week and week-end. Sounds like those checking in are doing great.

Jacqueline, I'm sure getting ready for guests is its own kind of exercise.
Enjoy your company and have fun.

I was able to get 3 walks in today plus lots of projects done. By 11:25 I was putting away the last of my projects. At 11:30 we had a blackout. I was so happy that everything was away and I could just rest until we got power back on. Tom was able to go visit friends today so I was able to get more than usual done.
    Everyone have a good weekend!!

Happy Saturday y'all! My scale didn't scare me too badly after vacation. I was only up 1.8 pounds and that came right back off when I got back on track with food and drinking water again. And I think I really enjoy my food more when it's healthier. Some of the "bad" stuff I ate last week really didn't taste that good. And I bought myself a new toy this week, a Fitbit Zip. I'm excited to see my steps and calories burned.

I'm still working on adjusting the way I "see" myself, my body image. I'd been fat for so long that sometimes when I see a current picture or see myself in a mirror it takes me by surprise. Last night DH and I went to dinner and I wore a cute little black with white polka dot sundress I had picked up a few weeks ago and wedge sandals. The first "thrill" was the look on his face when I walked out of the bedroom. (He's always such a sweetie!) After dinner we stopped at Goodwill (he was looking for t-shirts to wear to work) and I caught a glimpse of myself in a full length mirror as I walked by. I had to stop and look again. "Is that really me?" I've come a long way baby! icon_wink.gif

Happy Saturday to you, also, Alisa Lea! I'm pleased that you didn't gain weight on vacation. It's wonderful that you could see how pleased your husband was with your weight loss.

I was able to do 3 more walks today. Last night was strange. I had a severe asthma attack while Tom slept. I almost had to wake him or call 911. I calmed myself down and I got it under control.

Recipe Reader, time at the beach, nice. We have been so rainy lately, but no complaints here, I don't have to water the garden.

Laury, sorry to hear about your asthma attack, but thankfully you got it under control without having to wake Tom. Way to go getting your walks in and some projects done.

Jacqueline, have fun with your company.

Leggy Peggy, how are things going?

Alisa Lea, way to go. I really wish that bad things would start tasting off to me. Also the changing the way you see yourself, it takes some time. It sure helps when a hubby's reaction makes you feel sexier.

Me, I am struggling keeping up my motivation. Things are getting stressful at work. This next week is going to be very busy. Two of us are providing the food for Award's Night. We are thinking about 200 people are coming. I am doing my exercise, but have decided to drop Push-Up Challenge. I did a progress test yesterday but I did the same number as when I started. I really have to work on strengthening my core I guess.

Popping in quickly to say hi and bye.
We head to South America tomorrow.

Today has been horrible. We had to put our dog to sleep. Lots of tears.
He just 'blew a gasket' in the night. The vet thinks a tumour ruptured
somewhere within. He was in complete distress and a day of treatment
made no difference. So we, as a family, gathered to say farewell. He was
a rescue dog and at least 12, maybe 14. A lovely bouncy, little boy.

Here's a link to Chiyo's ZWT antics with his big brother Aggie, who we
lost in 2011. Scroll down to the 5th post.

Hope everyone does well with their motivation and goals.
