I hope everyone had a good Valentine's Day!

K9Owned, I can understand you wanting to weigh yourself only once every 2 weeks. It is easy to imagine fat melting from your body.

Granny Moses, your figures about drinking 2 sodas a day, and what they mean, is incredible!

tasb, I agree with your deciding not to share the school's kitchen with other people who won't clean up after themselves!! Good work on your exercise yesterday,

Alisa Lee, the scale will eventually show you losing weight if you keep carefully eating and exercising.

I am doing okay. Today will be an interesting day. We have no staff members here today and Tom will be leaving around 10:30 to do an errand and then for a day off. I was strong enough this time to explain I don't want him coming home wasted again. If I work all day from 10AM to 4PM and he comes home so wasted he has to go to sleep for the rest of the day, I work more hours than I should. Officially, we don't work Fridays until 5. I actually hear an alarm, turn it off if I can, and call someone who sends someone or calls someone. Tom has directed me to keep calm. I will do what I can.

Hey everyone, hope you all are doing great on this wonderful day that the Lord has graced us with.

tasb, so glad that your daughter was not hurt too bad in that accident. Glad your son and sister seem to be doing much better.

Granny Moses, I quit drinking soda, and I was drinking around 4-5 or more a day and I lost not one pound. My mother was shocked, we both thought the weight would just fall off me. This has been close to 10 years ago, now.

Laury take it easy and don't worry while Tom is gone.

K9 sometimes it takes a few more pounds that 2 to get your pants to not feel so tight. Plus your body could have shiffted your muscles/fat, whatever, around and you actually could get bigger in your waist, smaller elsewhere.

Alisa, I understand busy, yesterday was suppose to be only a PT day but it turned into a day that was so busy that I didn't even get home until after 5 PM. Then was so tired I hit the recliner for rest of the evening.

I ache! Hips, bottom and shins are sore so I'm not doing the treadmill today. I have a date with my yoga mat and then resistance bands for some upper body toning. Yesterday and the day before I wore Sketcher 'Shape Ups' for use on the treadmill and they do seem to make a difference. I'm not certain that it is a positive difference given my current discomfort though. icon_lol.gif

K9, I know you paid a pretty penny for the Sketcher's shape ups or whatever they are called. I bought a pair myself, but then saw on the doctor's or Dr. Oz show where they were really not good for you, can hurt parts of the body, it has been so long ago I don't remember what parts. I sent mine to Goodwill after hearing that.

I must be feeling better because I am wanting to do housework, although I know I can't do it. So needless to say it is driving me insane. I drove to the PO today, less than 1/2 mile, driving was fine, but I couldn't get my seat belt on so I don't guess I will be drving until after the stabilizer comes off.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Friday and weekend. We, my sister and I, are getting my Andie this afternoon so I guess we will play our hearts out with her. I really wish I was up to taking Xander, Andie's little brother, too, but since he is only 5 months old, he will have to wait until I can use my shoulder more.

Thanks for the info from Dr. Oz. You don't need to remember which part of the body they hurt. I can list them. No wait. I did. icon_lol.gif
I have had them for 3 years and don't wear them at all outside because they are tippy on uneven ground. These will be donated now.

Have a blast with Andie and have a wonderful weekend. The heck with the housework icon_wink.gif

K9Owned, I'm sorry that you have to go through an achy day. I know it isn't fun.

Jacqueline, just wait about another week and a half and you will be able to do some housework. It won't be that long. Have fun with Andie!!

Jacqueline, I do understand how you feel about wanting to do what you shouldn't be doing. I wanted to start my week of exercise today instead of tomorrow. I have been told that I have to wait one day and see how I talk tomorrow. I have been breathless on a few phone calls.
Both Tom and I have been bored a lot lately. I have exactly 2 friends in Gainesville- Tom and one person in the complex. We decided yesterday to take a class at a local playhouse where they show you everything that goes on to put on a play from auditions to the dress rehearsel. Tom may want to volunteer there behind the scenes. I won't be able to because I don't have useable skills left.

I have been able to do 2 of my walks today. I will do the third soon. I need to get my body ready for oral surgery so my last exercise day this week is Tuesday. I am supposed to go clothes shopping with my sister this week. This should be interesting since i have lost 40 pounds since I last went clothes shopping and I don't know what size I wear.

    Have a fun day everyone!!

Good for you Laury on getting your exercise in.

Andie didn't get to stay long with us, she has allergies and started coughing really bad so we packed her up and took her to her mother. She was getting sick and has a bad cold now, so I don't feel like Spot, the cat, was the problem. We did enjoy her while we had her.

Getting read to head out today to do some shopping. Looking for something to clean our hardwood with. It is not the old type of hardwood that you could use Johnson's paste wax on and I have been told you have to be careful what you put on this. Mine is OK but my sister just had her's put down a couple of weeks ago and she has a place where the cat threw up that needs something on it. I'll take any suggestions on this.

Hope everyone has a great Sunday.

40 lbs! That will make a big difference in the clothes you can buy. Kudos to you for that amount of weight loss.

Have had a really nice weekend. Of course for V-Day I made DH a special dinner and he brought me flowers, then Saturday and Sunday helped some good friends move into a lovely new home they found to rent and then went out for German food with friends. Today DH managed to get all our tax stuff ready and sent off to be done so that's a big headache out of the way and now this coming week will be spent getting ready for our 2 week trip to Peru.

Good luck with your oral surgery Laury and have fun shopping. 40 pounds will make such a difference. Your clothes must be falling off now!

Bonnie how wonderful to be able to see the world like you do. I've never been outside the US. Maybe someday....

I woke up this morning with a back ache way down low. I didn't do anything different yesterday so I don't know why. Hopefully it will be better tomorrow for work. DH and I went to the farmers market this morning. I got carrots, kale and another green that I'd never seen before (and can't remember what the lady called it, darn it). I also got goat cheese, fig balsamic, vegetarian queso dip (DH liked the sample) and a dozen eggs.

I only got in one Zumba class this week instead of my usual 3. Once was my fault, I was tired and didn't make myself go anyway, and Saturday morning the class was cancelled because they were working on the roof of the building. Oh well, tomorrow is another week. And we have two birthdays in my dept this week. I'm the unofficial "mom" and always bake a cake so I'm baking one for tomorrow and one for Thursday. icon_rolleyes.gif

    Everybody have a wonderful week!

Happy Monday friends, this will be a busy week with me, have to get everything ready for our trip. Really looking forward to it as have never been to Peru and lots to see. But sounds like it's cooler there than here so need to figure out what to pack. We really pack light so don't like to take much.

Hope your surgery goes well Laury and that everyone else is having a great week.

Good luck with the surgery Laury.
We still have house guests and are about to start a 10-day road trip to the
centre of Australia. I'll be back in early March. I'm trying to hold my weight.
Hope everyone has lots of success.
