Just a quick check-in. I had an awesome weekend. Spent alot of time traveling. Shopping Saturday, then Saturday was a 2 hour trip to drop off DS for Camp, then Monday was a trip to just get out of the house and pick up a couple things we forgot on Saturday. This week is my last week of work. Cleaning week, I am doing pretty good this year, am ahead of schedule this time.

tasb, sounds to me like things are going good for you. Hope they continue in that direction.

Laury hope you are feeling much better.

As for me nothing much is happening, I went to a QuinceaƱera last night with our Mexican friends and had a blast.

tasb, sounds like you are doing great!!

Jacqueline, it's fascinating learning about other cultures!! When I lived in California I was involved with a group of about 25 people and only 3 of us were non-Hispanic. I got to see how they celebrated many things.

I was able to do one walk today and possibly 2 more later once I see what is going on.

Hope everyone is doing well. I haven't weighed in a few days. On today's agenda is helping to mow my sister's grass, if it doesn't rain again and maybe doing mine again. I am expecting company soon, just don't know when so want to keep the grass trimmed as much as possible and get my house cleaned, not that it is dirty just needs some TLC.

I hope that it doesn't rain today if you want to mow your sister's and your own lawn, Jacqueline.

I was able to get all 3 walks in this morning!! It has been a while since I got 3 done.

Laury, congrats on getting your 3 walks in.

Jacqueline, happy to see you got yard work done with no mishaps.

Leggy Peggy, good to see you checking in.

Me, I haven't been up to too much, I spent the morning mowing the front yard's weeds. Even got up the driveways and as much as I could around. I was outside for over 2 hours but chatted with a friend for a long time. My original plans were to do a bit of mowing, bring the garbage cans to the road and do garden work. Well I never made it to the garden. I did mowing because the weeds were higher than the garbage cans.

Jsqueline, it's good that you can mow both your sister's and your own lawn. That's good exercise!!

    Leggy Peggy, enjoy your travels.

tasb, good to see you also exercised by mowing. I often have a to do list, as you did. Many days my to do list is simply the list of what I didn't do the way before.

I got 2 walks in this morning. Then our household helper came and cleaned. Now I am having problems breathing so I am back on oxygen. They still have not told me how I did on the lung test. I am guessing that if they choose not to tell me it's becaise there was nothing found. The doctors told me there was a 50/50 chance that it wouldn't tell them why my lungs are full of liquid. That means I kind of have to prepare my brain for accepting there may be surgery.

My doctor finally called me with my test results for the lung test. I had e-mailed him and asked for the results. It seems that there are abnormalities he has never seen before in my lungs. He needs to send the specimens and results to the Mayo Clinic to get a second opinion. He wants them to decide if surgery is the next step. He was polite, pleasant and sympathetic. He will call me in a week to tell me the results. I told Tom that he was pleasant which is new for him. It means I must be dying. icon_smile.gif icon_smile.gif

OH, Laury don't be "Debbie Downer" probably not the reason he was nice to you, more than likely he saw you were one sick lady or something he had never seen before so he is nice to keep you as a patient. Then he could have had a bad day in the past and this be his regular demeanor. I know it isn't always easy to do but I do try to look at the bright side of things.

Now, sending them to the Mayo Clinic is AZ, that is strange I would have thought he would have sent them to the one affiliated with the hospital in FL. Where I go to the speciality doctors they, too are affiliated with Mayo, which thrilled me to death when they got that affiliation.

I am still praying for you and want you to hold your chin up and enjoy life.

While I was waiting for the results Katie, a forum host here, messaged me and asked if I had the results. I didn't have them when she asked but when I got the results, such that they are, I messaged her and told her what was happening. She has explained that it actually is good news. The doctor has not seen it before which rules out serious diseases which he probably has seen such as cancer, and COPD.

The reason, I feel, he is sending things to Mayo in AZ is he may know the doctors there. He is from the Middle East and frequently can't speak clearly enough for either Tom or me to understand. This doctor might not be familiar with the Mayo Clinic doctor in FL.

What seems to work is he answers the e-mails I sent asking for result and he calls. That way both Tom and I hear what he needs us to.

Laury it is very true that it is probably something he is not familiar with therefore it may not be as bad as you may think.

I just hope he gets answers soon. I would also guess, notice I said guess, that they know which clinic has the best doctors for what you need. I know Pikeville Hospital is now a Mayo affiliate and that thrills me to death since I do use Pikeville Hospital a lot.

Looks rainy here in the mountains of KY, my sister and I had planned a small day trip today but she got called into work so I guess I need to clean some more.

Hope everyone is safe and has a great day.

Laury, don't be too upset. At least the Dr is getting another opinion. I remember when I discovered this patch of weird looking skin on my left side back when I was a teen. I went to the Dr about it, he looked at it, prescribed a cream and it didn't get better, well he called in a second Dr because he was stumped. I should mention it wasn't long after loosing my mom to breast cancer, and it being close to my breast both Dr's were a little worried. Well I was booked into the hospital (out-patient) a couple days later to remove a patch, to be sent away for testing. Turns out I am a tough piece of meat. It is an excessive amount of connective tissue.

It is something he hasn't seen before so it might not be that bad. I have my fingers crossed for you. Thankfully he is a polite Dr. I would hate to have one that is snarky or not wanting to take time for you.

Jacqueline, good to see you checking in, how are things?

Me, I have had a busy week for not being at work.

    Monday I did the mowing.

Tuesday, I went to a nearby farm and picked up some raspberries and honey. I made Raspberry Jelly.

Wednesday, I ended up out of the house for over 6 hours, almost 4 of those was waiting for hubby's truck to be fixed. Hubby had me take it in because they are only open weekdays and he is working, well 2 parts later they fixed the problem. But I had to walk around town with all 3 kids in tow. 2 which have never walked around a city before. The girls were first freaking because all the big trucks driving by us while we walked along the road. Then we had very few stores to walk around while we were waiting. We ended up in the pet store twice. I was not happy at all. Also ended up eating fast food for lunch and dinner that day so I felt gross.

Thursday, it was nice and cool here so I took an advantage and did lots of baking. I made 10 loaves of bread,15 pizza sticks, 24 personal sized beef pot pies and had enough stew leftover from the pies to freeze enough for a meal.

Friday, (today) I sliced up all the bread and put it in the freezer, washed all the dishes from yesterday. I do have 2 flats raspberries I need to pick up later today in town. But they aren't going to be in until 4-5 pm. I might phone in and ask for them to hold them until tomorrow morning as we usually go shopping Saturday mornings. They normally sell them on a first-come-first-serve basis. So I wonder why they ask us to put our name on a list for them.

Jacqueline, I hope you and your sister get to go on your day trip soon,

Leggy Peggy, did you get to see many whales? When I lived in CA we took whale watching trips either as field trips or as just a day something to do.

Wow, tasb you have been busy making jelly and baking! Your walking around town with all 3 of your children sounds like a long day!!
By the way, until the lung doctor's phone call he has not been that easy to get along with. He has so many patients who are critical that he gets impatient and acts as if he doesn't care what happens. Before the lung test he was in the examining room only to tell me what would happen if the first test didn't give any results. He also told me that either of the two types of tests could mean nothing and could harm my body very seriously.

I am hanging in there. I do not exercise for this week at all because my body is just too painful which could be from the stress of not knowing what's happening.
