Leggy Peggy, I am so sorry for the loss of your dog, Chiyo!

    Hugs!!

tasb, I can understand losing motivation during times of stress. You will survive and you will be stronger. You never stop exercising even though you have stressed before.

I finished my 4 walks a day for today and I am off until Thursday.

Alisa, so happy you didn't gain that much an lost it as soon as you got back to your water and regular food. I know the feeling about things not tasting the same. I cannot stand to smell greasy foods, much less eat them, but sugar still tastes pretty darn good to me.

Laury hope you are doing much better.

Tasb, I hope you get out from under the stress soon, I know what it can do to your health.

Recipe Reader, hope you and everyone else had a wonderful week-end.

Peggy, so sorry about your dog. I know if something happened to my Spot, (my cat), I'd go crazy. Have a safe trip.

My company was nice and we took her home yesterday. Got up this morning and read on facebook that my nephew's dad had a heart attack last night, so have been busy trying to find out about him. They had to put in 3 stents but I think he will be fine.

Hope everyone has a great week.

Good morning all, I have been thinking this morning. Didn't like the scales today, so thought I'd ask you all. How do you get past the cravings. I constantly crave sweets and chocolate, of course then if I have one of those then I must top it off with salty. I don't know what is wrong with me, I use to not be this way but it is a constant battle and what keeps me from it is not to bring it into the house. I live about 5 miles from town and that is a big help because I won't run to town, usually to get something. I do find myself trying to fix something with chocolate though, I mean I do have cocoa and chocolate chips in the house in case I need to bake something for a death in the church or something, quickly.

So how do you go about getting rid of your cravings?

Leggy Peggy, sorry to hear that you had to put your dog down. At least you were there for him when it was time for him to go. Have a great trip to South America.

Laury, thanks for the kind words. Congrats on getting in 4 walks. Enjoy your days off.

Jacqueline, I am under the End Of Year Stress. It gets crazy-busy this time of year, then adding this Award's Night food is added to it all. Normally we hire out the food. But with the spend happy former principal we are short on funds. Not that we are really saving any money. These meals are expensive. So far I have spent over $500, and that doesn't include the cake, or crackers. Sorry to hear about your nephew's dad, hope he recovers fully. I can't give you any advice on how to get rid of cravings. I just keep putting mine off, until I eventually give in, thankfully I don't over-board with them. My down side is eat too much everyday.

Me, well tomorrow is the Award's Night, thankfully. Monday I left work 2 hours early and went to town to do shopping. 4 hours later I finally got home. The upside is I was able to return the umbrella I bought and find a cute dress. Last time I got a new dress was for my sister's wedding, 12 1/2 years ago. I did exercise Monday Night. Tuesday morning I cut fruit all morning. I got almost all of it done in the 1 1/2 hours between breakfast and snack. It was a rest day yesterday. Today I had help from a parent. We got all the veggies done and started the deviled eggs before lunch. Tomorrow morning we have to tray up all the fruit, veggies, meats and cheeses. Thankfully the ceremony was moved to the other gym. The big boss said I don't even have to move the food down there. They have people to do that. Hopefully tomorrow doesn't go too late. At least we have the day off on Friday.

Jacqueline, how to handle cravings is very difficult. What I do is I delay as long as I can. I tell myself that I can have something I want in 15 minutes. Then I try to read or watch TV and in 15 minutes if I still want something, I have it. Often I find I was distracted at 15 minutes. If I look at the clock and more than 15 minutes has past, I delay another 15 minutes.

tasb, I hope after the Awards ceremony the stress goes down. Have fun at the ceremony!!

Leggy Peggy, have fun in South America!!

Just finished my sister's yard, I mean the mowing of her yard. LOL Mine needs to be mowed but it has not been a week yet and I refuse to mow it more than once a week.

I have been feeling a little blue lately and don't know if it is the heat or what that is getting to me but something sure is.

Hope everyone has a great day.

    Nice tribute Peggy.

Leggy Peggy, sounds like you are having a blast on your trip.

Jacqueline, hope your mood perks up soon. That is probably where the cravings are coming from. I was about to tell you to send me some heat, as we have been raining all week, but the skies seem to be clearing now, it was pretty warm out this afternoon.

Me, well Award's Night went well. We did get into a rush situation because all the food we were preparing, got a little behind. But it was all done in time. Was able to snap these pics before the trays walked out the door.

Right Top 2 trays, 8 dozen Deviled Eggs Halves, Right Bottom 2 trays, 3 kinds of cheese (Cheddar 4 packs, Mozza 3 packs and Swiss 2 packs, about 500 gr each) Left Side, Meats (6 lb Roast Beef, 4 lb Ham, 4 lb Chicken Breast, 3 lb Pepperoni Sticks, with 1 Liter Sweet Pickles split between the trays. All the eggs were gone right away, the meats just a bit of roast beef was left, 3/4 of the cheese was eaten too.
All trays are Assorted Veggies (Baby Carrots 8 lb, Green Peppers and Red Peppers 2 1/2 lb, Cherry Tomatoes 4 packs, Cucumbers 8 singles, Broccoli 4 big bunches, Cauliflower 2 heads) Sadly only 1/4 of this was eaten.
Fruit Trays, 2 huge Watermelon, 6 small Cantaloupe, 6 good sized Honeydew, 4 Pineapple, 6 bags Grapes, 8 lb Strawberries. About 1/2 of this was eaten.

Also had 8 packs of crackers (all gone), 1 sheet pan cake (all gone).

Today I am just tired. I slept in this morning, I got up at 7:40. Then after getting home after a quick trip to town, just afternoon, I slept about an other hour or so. Then watched tv for a bit then before dinner I slept again for about 1/2 hour. I am not going to exercise tonight, just want to get my energy back up.

Been a very busy Saturday, but all was fun. My sister has been thinking of buying this house, in our old neighborhood for about a year. They were asking $92,000. Last year she started to offer them $70,000, but then decided not to. So today it along with another 10 houses and a commercial building went on auction. It was an absolute auction. Our friends from the Mexican restaraunt called first thing this morning and said they'd like to bid on that house and would we go with them. This tickled us to death so we got ready and went to the last auction of the day, which was that house. No one dreamed it would go for more than $35,000, but it ended up going for $42,500. Needless to say our friends were not the ones that got it. Then they came up to my house and looked at a house next door to me that is for rent. After that we went to a friends house and sat on their porch watching the children swim. Came home and lazed around for a bit and then decided to go to another friend's house. I did good today no junk even during all that. Oh, BTW, we also went to Mexican and ate lunch.

Hope everyone is having a great week-end.
