Jacqueline, I am sure that you will be able to lose the weight you want now that you are able to exercise more.

duonyte, I agree that medications and other things can get you dehydrated very easily. I make sure to drink as much liquid as I can.

K9Owned, you will be in my thoughts and prayers. I hope the medical issue resolves itself quickly. Wishing you health and happiness too.

My head is clogged but my lungs aren't. I have done 2 of my 3 daily walks. Once Tom leaves for his outing I should fit in a 3'rd one.

Just checking in. It's been a much better week here food wise. I have the evening snacking under control again. Between working late and dental work I didn't get in as much exercise tho. Meh, there's always next week to be perfect. icon_lol.gif

I hope I can get the weight back off because it is causing me pain in my hips, knees and lower back. Funny the first I gained didn't bother me, but these last 10 lbs have killed me. I now have 40 lbs to get off. Well I have much more than that but 40 to be where I was last summer. I know I can do it just have to get with the plan. My biggest problem is after supper, when I am watching TV. I could eat the house I think.

Alisa, glad you are having a much better week.

Snacking after dinner is a problem for lots of people.
I try to stay out of the kitchen. Doesn't always work, but it helps.

Alisa Lee, it's wonderful that you had a much better week with your food choices. You will find a way to get more exercise in when you don't have dental work. I hope you have a perfect week too.

Jacqueline, now that your shoulder is better you will be able to get with the program you stick with.

Leggy Peggy, I agree with you many people have a night problem when they are tempted to eat whatever they can find.

Today I got all my exercising in. It should be a good day but I have already been crying once. I think it has to do with having a lung doctor appointment late tomorrow afternoon. Usually we take the mini-bus home and that means we wait hours to get home. Tomorrow we are going to get a cab. I have to decide how I want him to find out whether I have
him put a tube down my windpipe, or have a surgeon go into my lung by cutting through a rib. I like the third option- cause Laury no more physical pain. I hurt enough!!! I am trying to be tough but it is rough going.

Okay I have finally gotten all my craft projects done. After a couple weeks of slaving over them and a 14 hour marathon session yesterday.

The first is the bead work I was talking about before. It is for my sister to signify her end to chemo for breast cancer. The 2nd and 3rd picture I am taking a risk posting anywhere. This is a bunny I started making my sister 20 years ago, all I had to do was the eyes and the embroidery for the nose and mouth. I stopped because my sewing teacher said it would probably be too hard to do the white and black embroidery. I so wanna shove that in the teacher's face to making me put it off all these years, my sister will be surprised to get this. The 4th picture is a cross-stitch craft I started about 7 years ago. I originally thought of giving it to my sister as she loves wolves, but my older DD said I should give to to my dad as I didn't make anything for him for his birthday.

I give these out this weekend, we are heading to my parents place to celebrate my sister's end to chemo and my dad's 60th birthday, his birthday was in December but he refused to celebrate it because my sister was having complications to her chemo treatments.

Hi everyone! Sorry I have not been around and that I am not a very good feeling fit friend. I'm a terrible procrastinator and everything seems to be getting out of hand lately.

DH had to get the fluid in his belly drained again and that is not good. He is in pain and discouraged. However, he has been eating.

The dietician's plan did not result in any weight loss for me at all. So I am discouraged. I have been eating a whole lot of whole grains and beans every day. The good news is that all my numbers are good. My cholesterol is good, my A1C is lowering. I am feeling good except for my knees which are getting worse. I told DH I am going to get more drastic and only eat meat once or twice a week. Then I keep going through the drive thru. I have also had my thyroid medication doubled since its function is not good. That is probably the root of my problems.

Leggy Peggy, I am much calmer today. I won't get too upset until the day of the event.

tasb, those looks tremendous!! I don't like teachers doing things like limiting students.

    Thank you, Alisa Lea

threeovens, really life is more important than being here often. I am sorry that your husband is in pain. I know it is hard to be a caregiver. It is good that all your numbers are good. Keep eating the whole grains and beans!! Try to avoid going to the drive-thrus.
Have you found ways to get exercise into your life?

I have gained about 4 pounds. Being nervous and stressed seems to get me to eat more of the wrong things.

You are probably will not believe me but I was here early yesterday morning and tried to post, it wouldn't go through then my internet was out until after midnight last night, but I have my post from yesterday saved in a txt doc and am going to past it. LOL

No more I want to get this weight off, it is down to I have to get this weight off now. Since I had my gastric by-pass surgery my diabetes has been in remission and my Hgb A1C has been wonderful even down to 4.8 two times ago. Well, I don't often check my blood sugar but this morning was killing a little time and thought I am going to check it and low and behold it was 169 fasting. So now I have to do something about it. My surgeon moved to Ohio right after I had surgery so have not had any follow ups for my WLS in a long time. I need to find another surgeon to follow me and see if there is something that can be done to help me.

Laury, hope your trip this afternoon went well. I had an eye appointment in Kingsport, TN today and it was wonderful. 3 ovens, some times life gets in the way of what we really want to do. Remind me are you a diabetic?

Tasb your craft projects look wonderful and hope you enjoy giving them away this weekend.

I think I will be going to bed very soon. I am just worn out.

Have a great night and wonderful tomorrow.

threeovens, sorry to heat the dietician's plan wasn't any help. Try not to
get too discouraged. Some plan is bound to work, the challenge is to find it.
But wonderful that your numbers are good.

Laury, glad you aren't so nervous now. Just remember that the doctor
doesn't want you in pain either.

Jacqueline, you've sure had a wake-up call so I hope it helps to kick-start
you on to more weight-loss. I know it's hard but, as you said, you have to do it.

This afternoon I didn't get seen by either a doctor or a PA. It was very frustrating. I had a 4:15 appointment. I was brought into an examining room around 4:10. All seemed normal. At 5PM we gave up waiting and left. I didn't notice a curb and took an enormous fall in the parking lot. When I get tired, we know and my doctor knows I get very stumbly. By 4:10 I was very stumbly. At 5PM not being seen, I was more stumbly. We will not be going back. Either my doctor finds me a new lung doctor who actually works more than one afternoon a week or I won't be seeing a lung doctor. Tom has decided that if I can't be seen by 2, we don't make an appointment. I am not sure my body will forgive me.
