I am still here, just not exercising yet. I got kicked out of work and told to head to a walk-in clinic. Actually I already had asked a co-worker to cover for me, but I wanted to get a few things done first. I got some anti-biotics as my darn cold became a sinus infection. I am still stuffy, wondering when they will start working. icon_lol.gif Nah I am feeling better, not ready to rip off my face.

I am having a great weekend so far with my family. Shopping on Friday, and we went out so hubby could try out his new rifle and get my son shooting a BB gun to see how good he is, my older DD tried out the BB gun too, Wildlife Park (aka zoo) on Saturday, we are having turkey dinner tomorrow.

Thursday, we had a Pro-D, which consisted of traditional Native American crafts. I am learning to make moccasins, and trying my hand at bead work again. I tried the bead work back in the 90's but didn't do so well so I gave up. But I am doing pretty good this time around. I am making a thing to give to my sister when she is finally done her cancer treatments. It has a pink ribbon in the middle and the words "you fought like a girl" in capital letters. I will post pics when I am done both. I think the moccasins might go to my girls, I might have went too close in when I traced my foot, so I am thinking they might be too skinny for me, but my older girl has feet almost as long as mine but skinnier.

Hope you all had a good Easter weekend. Ours was nice, just over too quickly.

Saturday night DH went with me to a Zumba fundraiser for American Heart Assoc. at a club in Galveston. No, he doesn't dance but he he'll go with me. icon_lol.gif

Yesterday I cooked ham, etc for Easter dinner. DIL got off work at 3 and DS2 had to be at work at 4, so we had a quick meal and I sent leftovers home with DS1 & DIL. I ate more than I usually do but I didn't go way overboard. And I didn't buy/eat any Easter candy. I love jelly beans and I've stayed completely away from them this year. Yea me!

Today starts a new week and a new month, so I'm focusing forward. I'm going in to work at 7 and taking off early this afternoon for a dentist appt. It's time for my regular checkup and I have one tooth that I think the old filling is coming out. Hopefully it can just be refilled and not need anything else (more expensive!).

Have a great day everybody, even if it is Monday. icon_wink.gif

Alisa sounds like you did really good over Easter. I can't say the same for myself. Saturday was my birthday and I had several friends call and ask me out to dinner, so I just invited them all to the Mexican restaurant at 6:30 PM and we had a good ole time eating and being with friends, yesterday I sat and watched the Bible for 10 hours and made a batch of brownies and ate them all. So glad today is a new week and month.

Have a good day and I will let you know what the brownies did later this week.

Wishing you a very happy birthday, Jacqueline, a day late.
If you're going to eat brownies any time, it might as well be on your birthday.

Alisa Lee, I think it's wonderful that your husband went with you to the Zumba fundraiser!! It sounds as if you had a good weekend.

Jacqueline, I hope that your birthday was wonderful. Don't be too concerned about the brownies. Did you enjoy watching the Bible?
We watched it also and enjoyed it.

Leggy Peggy, it sounds as if you are doing well!!

For myself, I cancelled my dental appointment for today. I have been stumbling around because of tiredness. We decided that I had to have a week where I stay home all week except for the class on Friday. We are both enjoying the observation at the playhouse. Next Wednesday night is the preview of the play, Robin Hood.

Hello again. I have done very little that did not have to do with selling or buying a house throughout March. It has been a bit overwhelming.
Anyway - new house is bought and the move scheduled for mid June. Now it's on to packing icon_smile.gif

I'm hoping/expecting to get back on track this week. Down 6 lbs from all of the running around. I'll be back later to catch up on what you have all been up to.

    Belated Happy Birthday Jacqueline!

K9, wonder if I sold my house and bought a new one if I'd lose six lbs. I doubt it though because I don't have dogs to have to get out of the house and run around with. I was thinking it might be worth it and get a much smaller house. Now to the packing, I do not envy you one bit. If I thought I had to pack up this house and move I'd probably lay down and pray to die.

Laury, I really enjoyed the movie The Bible, not to get in a discussion about it but I felt it was a pretty good representation of the Bible. Lots left out that would have helped to be there but no way could you condense the Bible into 10 hours without leaving a lot out.

Leggy Peggy, hope you had fun with all the family this weekend.

Jacqueline, I think you are checking in more than me. Meeting with people for you birthday, how awesome, sounds like you had a good time. Happy Belated Birthday.

Alisa Lea, how was your fundraiser? Awesome that your hubby went with you too. Hoping your dentist appt was a simple one.

Laury, I am happy to hear you are looking out for yourself and cancelling your dentist appt. You get as much rest as you can.

K9 Owned, happy to hear you found another house already. Happy Packing. Don't forget to label every box that way you don't have to open 30 boxes later one looking for something. Sounds like I speak from experience. LOL Moved around alot when I was younger. Thankfully I have stayed put these past 10 years.

Me, I am finally starting to feel better. After 3 weeks. My poor nose sure took a beating, the right side looks horrible from blowing my nose so much. I finally got to see my sister yesterday, she stopped by to drop off our mom's old sewing machine. It has been sitting at her house for years and years, she finally decided to let things go. I jumped at the chance to have it. It was a quick visit as she needed to get to town to do some blood tests. Her final chemo is today. She does have 11 more treatments to go through but they aren't going to be as bad as chemo, she should have some strength and her hair should start growing back soon.

ETA: I am happy to say that I haven't gained any weight. I was worried getting on the scale as I have hardly exercised these past 2 months because I was so sick. I am hoping to atleast get in my PT exercises tonight. Start slowly this time around. As if I could do that, in a couple days I will probably pushing myself hard.

tasb, so glad you are feeling better. You, start slow? I can't imagine, you seem to do a great job at whatever you tackle. I hate exercise, but I have to get this arm going and I might just learn to love, ok that's a strong word, maybe like it if I can keep going to PT. Actually, we are also strengthening my hips, too and I am enjoying exercise more than I did. My hips are so weak that it is no wonder I hated it so much. I have been this way all my life but have never been able to get anyone to figure out why. I remember as a young child I'd cry at night because my hips hurt and my parents called it growing pains, yet I still have that problem. Thankfully we are working on them now.

tasb, I am very pleased that you are startomg tp feel better. I know how miserable people feel with sinus infections. I'm glad that you got to see your sister.
tasb, I am not certain you know how to go slow with exercise. Even if all you do is your PT you will do more than minimal.

Jacqueline, I hope that your PT sessions make your shoulder and knees feel better without hurting them.

I have been exercising but I could be doing better at watching what I eat. I kind of gave up when I found out about the lung test which will be scheduled the next time I go to my lung doctor. I see him April 23.
