Thanks everyone for voting or at least trying to vote. icon_smile.gif

Laury, sorry that you have to go through all those appointments and tests,
but maybe all these will give you some final answers.

Jacqueline, sorry that you have lost your helper. What bad timing. But so
you know, I don't do cupboards every three months, only every six or nine.
And I agree about the video, but the limit was three minutes. Mine is 2:57.
My original 'script' was 4:40 and I had lots more to show and say, but it was
more important to stay within the time limit. icon_rolleyes.gif

    Hey everyone!
I'm also not seeing movement on the scale. But I know I am healthier, and still walking every day. I'm hopeful I'll see results by the end of the month.

Jacqueline, it's encouraging that you're seeing progress by fitting into smaller jeans, even if doesn't show on the scales yet.
Tasb, it sounds like you sure did a lot, just after you started feeling better.
Alisa Lea, I hope you got back to Zumba since you enjoy it so much.
Good luck Laury with your doctor appointments, and Leggy Peggy with your contest, and K9 with your packing and new home search.

I got on the scales this morning and I am down 5 lbs!
I know it must be just stress weight loss but I'll take it. icon_lol.gif

I may not be around more than a couple of times a week for a while. Having sold our house we are now on the hunt for a new one. As we are looking outside of our region it entails 3 hours driving for the return trip before we even see a house. I was wiped out last night from the days tour.

Keep up the good work guys!

Jacqueline, cleaning out the cupboards is hard work. It takes as long as it takes. My guess is Tom goes through them once a year, if that often.

Leggy Peggy, I agree that it is very important to follow all the rules of the contest. If someone goes over the time limit, they may decide to eliminate them from the contest.

Recipe Reader, walking every day is excellent!! Keep up the good work of getting healthier!!

K9Owned, congratulations on losing 5 pounds!! I can understand your not being here everyday.

Today I have started going through my bookmarks and deleting ones which I don't think I will want to ever check again. I have about 20 categories and I went through 5. Since I plan to only spend an hour a day or so this may take many days. Tomorrow is the play class where we watch the first rehearsal. I will walk twice before we go.

We went to the first rehearsal at the local playhouse where we are learning what happens backstage during a play. I have a feeling this wasn't the first time the group read the script together or they have just acted together so often they knew what to anticipate.
I walked 2 times yesterday and went to the playhouse. Today I have done 2 walks waiting for Tom to wake up. We had a bad night last night because a smoke alarm went off in our building at 2AM. When the smoke alarm goes off in any apartment in our building, sirens goes off and lights flicker. This continued for about 45 minutes. That kind of messes up sleeping. It's kind of strange because when Tom and I wake up at 2AM, or the middle of the night, we grab crackers or fruit. Some other people decide that they have to cook and they are not smart enough to turn on a fan, open a window or open a door. They seem to feel cook everything at a high heat.

I promised I would check in today and let you all know how things are going. First, I can still wear my smaller jeans but they sure seem tight today, wonder if it is just the difference in demin. icon_smile.gif I wish.

We lost a member of our church family this week and naturally that means the church is cooking. Since I don't go to church often, they usually don't call me to cook anymore. But.... this was also a good friend of our's brother and I know we do not have many in the church that will cook, most of our members are old, and by old I mean in their late seventies or early eighties. The ones there my age or a little older are not really dependable, so I called and offered for my sister and I both to help. The lady over getting the meals together, I love, but she also knows that I make a mean meatloaf and everyone loves it, so she asked me if I'd fix meatloaf. Mind you this was a big family, like 50 people to feed, just from the family. So on Thursday Becky, my sister, and I had already made plans with some friends of ours to go to Johnson City, TN to eat at Red Lobster. The visitation for our church member was from 5-7PM and the funeral at 7 PM, we got back and made visitation at 6:30 and did not stay for the funeral. Came straight home and I went to work on my meatloaf, actually is was loaves. I had seven pounds of meat so I made four 2 lb loaves or a little over 2 lbs. I got them mixed and made into loaves and put in the refrigerator because we were feeding the family at the church after the burial on Friday. I got up at 7 AM and got my sauce for my meat loaf made and put them in the oven by 8 was out of here by 11 AM heading for the church. Dropped them off and then went to Norton, VA to do my Walmarting. Prior going to Johnson City on Thursday I went to Harlan, KY for my PT, so I was on the road from 8 AM-6:30 PM and I was beat that day. Yesterday, was busy too, but not like on Thursday. Now today I am heading out to Andie's little cousins birthday party and then who knows where Becky and I will end up. I honestly hope at home.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend. Looks like rain here, but suppose to snow. Hard to believe that it was close to 80 one day this week and yesterday morning it was only 12 degrees F.

Wow Laury and Jacqueline, it sounds like you both have been super busy.

My life has calmed down quite a bit and my weight is holding steady.
I wish it would start heading down, but I'll live with steady.

Down two pounds today from yesterday. Now if I can just keep me in check and do it again. All these pictures of food that have been posted on facebook makes me hungry and makes me want to bake. Can't do that. Wish I could lick the screen. icon_smile.gif

Hope everyone has a great day, we are having rain here today.

Sorry I have been MIA, I was browsing on my phone and when I tried to post a reply my phone disconnected from WIFI. I am on my laptop now so I can respond. I ended up feeling sick again on Wednesday, so I was on the couch since, just resting and watching tv. This cold just doesn't want to go away. I have only been out of the house 3 days the past 9 days. I got a call from my older sister the other day, she has been hospitalized again, she needs a blood transfusion. She has been doing so good, she wasn't been in the hospital (other than chemo treatments) since December, and her last treatment is scheduled for April 1st. I have been very upset and crying, the only thing that stopped me from crying is I couldn't breath anymore. I was too stuffed. I am probably more upset that I can't visit her because of this cold. I haven't exercised at all the past 2 weeks, but I am doing ok, I actually lost .2 lb. I will take that over a few pounds up.

Leggy, that sounds like too much work, removing books from shelves. icon_lol.gif A hold is better than going up.

Laury, take care and hope your appointments go by with little complications. I hope that those 14 tests give you some answers and help you. Sorry to hear you didn't get a good sleep the other night. I lived in an elder's building before, long story. But the alarms were such a pain as they all went off. I got in trouble one time because I set them off boiling water. It was about 9-10 pm, I was going to make noodles because we were starving waiting for the Youth Group to deliver our pizza. As caretaker I was just told flip the switch for the alarms for about 1/2 hour because they were constantly going off in summer because of the heat.

Jacqueline, happy to hear you can get some cleaning done and use that shoulder more. It will take time to get to the point you want to be at, but don't overdo it. Sorry to hear about the loss in your church community. Glad you able to lend a hand. Lucky you still fitting in your jeans.

Recipe Reader, good to see you checking in. Getting healthier is a good thing. Keep up your walking, the scale will probably drop all of a sudden.

K9, I am not to sure if I congratulated you on the sale of your house. I bet some of that weight loss is from walking the dogs and constant cleaning too. Good luck on house hunting.

tasb, so sorry you are sick again or should I say still sick. I have seen a lot of people with this cold/flu/sinus thing this winter and it seems to hang on forever. I hope and pray you feel better soon. Good to hear from you, also.

Leggy Peggy, I have been voting for you daily in both Facebook and tweeting about it also.

Jacqueline, congratulations on losing 2 pounds!! We have had a rainy day also.

tasb, I am so sorry that you are ill! You need to start feeling better so you can see your sister and start exercising again. Don't worry too much about missing exercising when you are ill!!
I pray that both your sister and you start feeling better.

Today both Tom and I are ill. He has had stomach problems. I woke up this morning wearing my oxygen but coughing up many things. I decided not to exercise today because of the coughing. If I am just coughing, I don't worry about it. When I cough up things, I need to not do exercise and rest. That's okay. I exercised Friday and Saturday. Tomorrow I can do 3 walks and just walking to the blood lab on Tuesday and back to the bus stop is more than 20 minutes walking.

Oh Laury, I'm so sorry to hear that you and Tom are both feeling unwell.
It makes sense not to exercise. You don't want to overdo things. But I do
appreciate the votes so very much.

tasb, sorry you're feeling poorly too -- AGAIN. Bummer! Hope you are back
    to full speed soon.

Jacqueline, keep up your good results. Way to go!

Recipe Reader, glad you are felling healthier. That's the main thing.

K9, wow, great weight loss, but I guess the trauma/drama of selling a house
will do that to a person. Good luck house hunting.

Good morning everyone, Snowing here in SE Kentucky, and I have an earache so I skipped PT this morning. Actually, I am thinking of going back to bed. I can't decide if I need to go to the doctor or not. I guess I will wait until tomorrow and see if I feel any better. I have an eye appointment on Wednesday but doesn't appear as though I will be going there either. It is across the highest mountain in KY and has snow on it when nothing else does. Since we are expecting at least 6-10 inches of snow on that mountain I doubt that it will be clear on Wednesday. But it might be and if so I will go.

I guess I need to do my home PT and then I think I will just go back to bed. People are posting all these good looking recipes on FB and I want to bake but then who would eat it? I certainly don't need it.
