We got about 14 or so inches of snow the other day. Yay fun. Walking has been . . . challenging.

And the back yard, well, it's just a good thing Jar doesn't have his fancy parts anymore, because they'd buried.
While the sidewalks are still pretty ugly, the streets are mainly cleared - a few slippery patches, but reasonable.
So we're walking along this morning, as we do, and, once "business" was done, I said, as I do, "Jarly, heel."
Jarly kind of tilted his head the OTHER way and said "la la la I can't hear you."
So. . . lure him.
I got out a treat, waved it in front of his nose, and said "Jarly, HEEL."
He sort of glanced at me and said, "well, you know, it's kind of slippery out here and maybe I'd better keep my eyes where I'm going and look directly at the ground when we're walking and not mess around. . . "
Really? So, I LURE him.
And I got out a piece of crust from last night's pizza.
I didn't even have to wave it under his nose - as soon as it came out of my pocket, he was all "hey, Mom, you know what we haven't done in a while? Heeling We should heel. Wanna heel? Right now? Huh? Wanna?"
