Got a friend coming over this afternoon and I'm guessing the lads will be watching football or golf or both.
I'm going to make Pistachio Cheese Wafers because I have wanted to try them forever. Other than that just a cheese and cracker tray and salsa with tortilla chips to throw at them before dinner.

I'm making a modified version of Smothered Pork Chops with mashed potatoes (Jim has been eating potatoes from boxes - ick, imo) and I'm roasting carrots and the last of the darned Brussel sprouts. I swear they have been multiplying in my fridge. Dessert is purchased Wild Bluberry Pie with ice cream.

    4 Cooking Projects Today

Crock Pot Whole Chicken, I will use just the meat NO skin. Most will be used to make mini pot pies on Sunday, the rest bagged in the freezer

Copycat Win Schulers Bar Cheese, with crackers and breadsticks with a friend on Sunday for football

Sarasota's Simple Swiss Bacon & Onion Pie for dinner with g/f; roasted beets; and a garden salad

Turkey Vegetable Noodle Soup, Turkey Soup With Egg Noodles and Vegetables is pretty close to what I am making. I am doing this for a neighbor who gave me the carcass but doesn't cook. I get to keep some as well, so it's a good trade off.

A GF and I are taking 10 teens downtown for the day.
Dinner will be something from the Italian Village restaurant, the least expensive on of the 3 restaurants, after all, these are kids. They came up with the plan..... wonder if they have any idea what it will cost them? icon_lol.gif
