This would be the perfect recipe is you like tart, which I do. That was a GREAT price, I do love Myers Lemons. I'm thinking might give this a try with Limes some time too.

Red, those are such cute photos, I love that age. My granddaughter just turned 5 this year and I'm afraid she's growing up much to fast - I've been cooking with her since she was about 3 and we've always had so much fun doing it together - she tells her folks "it's me and Nanna Time" I love it.

YUM! Look what I just finished - great sweet-tart flavor. Deluxe Lemon Bars
Of course, the lady-like thing would be to bring some of those scrumptious lemon bars to the "gentleman" who will be slicing your bread when you get here to Mentor, Ohio. icon_lol.gif icon_lol.gif

I didn't win because I still don't have any lemon bars. But at least we're even now. icon_lol.gif icon_lol.gif icon_lol.gif

Finally got around to makings Len's Oat Wheat Bread and while my braiding was a disaster (bread ended up looking something like a roasted turkey) the taste an texture was the best.

Nicely done. Can you email me a slice? icon_lol.gif

You bet Joe, anytime. But you should have seen the loaf when it came from the oven with my "braiding" technique Honestly had to slice it before Bob came home or he probably wouldn't have even tried it icon_redface.gif

Bonnie I'm glad you like it. I worried that the recipe works for me but maybe not for others, so I am relieved.

Sunday was bread baking day for me. I am getting back into making Multi-grain bread, (with added sunflower seeds and whole brown flax seeds for added crunch). Partly because I am trying to get healthy again, one DD requested I make it again, and too a diet change for my son, who was diagnosed with ADD and complex carbs may help.

6 loaves white, 4 loaves multi-grain and 15 pizza sticks. Excuse the messy kitchen.
Close up of the Pizza Sticks, forgot to add I used homemade pizza sauce for these too.
Close-up of the bread, don't count, one loaf of white is missing because we had it with chili. I don't think I am going to do the seeds and flax topping, looks good but so much fell off.

Here is the recipe I used for the multi-grain bread 10 Grain Bread

Red, your grandson is a darling, I can see him operating a pretzel stand when the other kids have lemonade stands.

Tasb, that's a lot of bread! I can't imagine making that much in a day in my little kitchen.

I've been topping my bread with a seed blend and a fair amount of them fall off too, but enough of them stay on to make it worthwhile. The seed topping does change the taste of the bread. I'm going to keep using it until I use up the jar. I'm not sure whether or not I'll buy another jar.
