    Lids Buckled?

If you have buckled lids, what happened is that your jars sealed before all of the excess air inside vented out. Thus, the pressure inside the jars caused the lids to buckle.

The canning lid company actually designs the lids to buckle in order to help prevent jars from breaking.

Inaccurate headspace, not making sure all the air bubbles are out of the jar's ingredients prior to placing the lids and screwing the bands on too tightly can all contribute to this problem.
