    Wishing all of you wonderful holiday season. I will be very busy making Japanese osechi cooking which is New Year cooking that starts a week before l(for me) New Years to last the first 3 days of New Year!

    Merry Christmas, Happy New Year! Where are you this Christmas, Peggy? As for Osechi -- I have enjoyed those new year's dishes at my friends' home over the years, especially the soups!

    Seems odd to be posting in the Asian Forum to say that I am in the
    Pantanal wetlands in Brazil for Christmas this year. Hot and steamy here.

    Made two so far. Black beans and little anchovies - these will keep for a while. Next up will be eggs, and shrimp. I'll post some photos when I get them together. Snake year coming!
