icon_sad.gif I have boiled my pudding for the required 3.5 hours. I lifted the foil and its totally uncooked in the centre. Its the one boiled in pudding bowl.
Should I wrap it up and put it back in the water?

Gosh, I would. But it may be too late.

Just following up in case anyone else has the same problem.

I returned the pudding to the water and boiled the life out of it for 2 more hours.....s-l-o-w-l-y .....peeled back the foil......and.......
    ....its PERFECT!

I realise my mistake now. For the first 3 and a half hours I had the gas on a very low simmer...should have been higher.

    Happy Christmas everyone!

"Oh! All that steam! The pudding had just been taken out of the cauldron. Oh! That smell! The same as the one which prevailed on washing day! It is that of the cloth which wraps the pudding. "
