    Hope I can help you with this info because I haven't done this recipe before, but according with the info, normally the rule of the thumb is this:

    for a whole chicken takes preparation time or roasting the chicken first, plus cooking 6 minutes per pound; so a 9 lbs. chicken would take aprox. 50-54 minutes cooking time.

    Instead of 40-45 minutes should be: 50-54 minutes. icon_rolleyes.gif
