Duplicate recipe confusion. What happened to my recipe?

Recently I posted my very own recipe for Beef Stew or Venison Stew, and when I edited that recipe, it then also became a duplicate recipe, so I asked the mods to delete the one w/o a photo... #491025, and to keep the recipe w/photo... #491053, now a few days later I see even the stew recipe with the photo has also been deleted as well. I 'am confused as to why this was done. I was sent a pm stating... that recipe was a duplicate recipe, but the duplicate was the one recipe I had already asked the mods to delete. I'm thinking there was a miscommunication here, and I'm hoping this can be resolved.

Here's the pm that I received that explains it all, but it still doesn't make sense, as when I click onto both recipes, I still get the message about one recipe being a duplicate of the other, and still both recipes have been deleted. I do want to make clear, that this recipe is not a copycat recipe nor a duplicate of anyone else's recipe.

During regular maintenance of our database, we identify duplicate recipes. In order to improve the efficiency of our site, we remove duplicate recipes when we find them. (Typically the recipe posted first is retained.)

One of your recipes was removed (see below) because it duplicates another recipe. Beef Stew or Venison Stew (#491053)

That's strange! I don't know what happened, but I made 491053 visible again.

    Hope that helps!
