Just like the ones I used to know
    Where the treetops glisten,
    and children listen
To hear sleigh bells in the snow........

Hi there, folks! wave.gif It's finally getting nippy here in the southwest, and this weekend the temps are supposed to really drop. I've got my wee tree up, packages are underneath, the house is warm and cozy. I do love winter, but I'm not sure I'd like it so much if we had a lot of snow. I'm not used to that here on the desert and the foot of the Rocky Mountains.

Tonight I'm off to a dinner party, so it's the first party of the season. Should be very nice.

Hi Stella, had a wonderful day here decorating the house and putting up our Christmas tree. Have collected so many wonderful ornaments from around the world, after doing the Holiday Ornament swap for years. Being in the "banana belt" of southern Ontario we don't get much snow some years. Today we had rain and sleet but am really hoping for a white Christmas

Hi,Stella and Tiggrr,,beautiful mild weather here. We had our Christmas with the boys yesterday and it was wonderful. My son bought me a new camera with better zoom so wherever I go next year on holidays I'll be ready.

Well, since the world is supposed to end, today, you don't have much time to finish your Xmas shopping! icon_lol.gif It's cold, but I need to run some errands. Actually, I have found it much easier to shop on line than battle the crowds. Yet, some of the malls are half empty, so I guess that's not a good sign.

I am looking for freezer friendly recipes, today, to make ahead for the month of January. I'll be hosting my church's bible study once a week -- and that entails a dinner, afterwards -- and my annual Epiphany party, plus two small dinner parties. All in one month! icon_eek.gif

Am I nuts or what? But if I can get on the stick after Xmas and freeze a few dishes, it'll be easy peasy when the time comes. How come everything happened in January?

Happy New year to everyone. We are staying in this year. Maybe start a fire and will make some great finger foods while we sip our wine, beer or any other drink that comes to mind icon_wink.gif
