    Mom's Hot Chocolate Mix

Should I heat the water first, then add the mix, or add the mix then heat the water? It seemed fine heating the water first, but I was just curious how you did it. Thanks.

PS - GREAT recipe by the way. My only problem, was I underestimated the size of my bowl. I don't even own a bowl big enough to mix it. Next time I'll have to use a very large pot.

To ask the contributor, click the arrow to the right of their name, then Contact This Chef. But I think that you would put the mix in the mug or pitcher, then add the hot water.

Hot cocoa mixes are usually mixed into water that's already heated. To directly contact a contributor, use the Contact This Chef link next to their name.
I'm sure a review of the recipe would be appreciated!

When you click on the "Ask a Question" link, you are brought to the Q&A Forum, where other members of the community will try to answer your questions. Most posting chefs do not monitor this forum; if you want to ask a question directly of a posting chef, click the small blue down-arrow next to his/her name and choose "Contact This Chef," or click the name and choose "Send a Message" in the upper right hand corner of the chef's profile page.

I would always heat the water first. Cocoa powder does not like to dissolve; I would add just a little bit of hot water (or milk!) and stir it into a thick paste before adding the rest of the liquid.
