    a mini catch up...

last night decided to make pizza.. found we were short of white bread flour so had to use half brown... then found nothing to make the tomato sauce base so used tomato purée and pepped it up with chinese sweet chilli and garlic sauce ! The toppings were also a bit hit and miss with sausage that needed using, some pepperoni and then a bit of cheddar that was helped out with some feta...

this morning.. mackeral in tomato sauce on brown bread toast..

and tonight... well during the day I had to get the mower out, saw the bbq.. thought.. go on... I'd planned on chicken ... so decided to make up some skewers and bbq'd it... made up some potato salad and added salad...

if you don't try things, you never know... sometimes it works, sometimes not... but garlic and chili flavours on a pizza is a winner anyway.. icon_smile.gif

    another short catch up...

leftover kebabs with a pick and mix salad and cracker combo

then later had a BBQ (wasn't having one, just decided to grill some tuna steaks and invited a couple of mates around, they brought some burgers and the rest was history)

    ham salad sandwich for lunch

homemade pork curry, rice (spiced with cardamon and cinnamon), a side of peppers and onion, yoghurt and mint and a shop bought naan.

this morning had one of the grandchildren around (while our daughter went to work).. so we had breakfast

then he helped to make tonights dinner

and tonights tea, roast chicken dinner... and as we are on a bit of a health kick prior to the holiday.. the mash is half carrot/half potato...

That kebab looks wonderful! You made the veggies for the brat and burger look so attractive the way you laid the tomatoes atop the cucumbers.

Oh you could open a restaurant with that pork curry plate.

Love your sous chef and his carrot mash looks delicious.

Need to change the name of this thread to "Steve's Gourmet Photography." I'm captivated that anyone's family eats like that each and every day. It looks like food from a restaurant.

Here's what the kitchen help had tonight for dinner. Latkes with sour cream &, quick & tasty.
