Oh wow! I bet you got more sunshine, Steve! That should explain the lovely light on the eggs!
And Deb -- I meant to mail you. Enjoy the first weeks as a granny -- I know you'll be needed, AND you're working as well.
The forum will keep running, so don't worry if you cannot be online as much as usual! ((((hugs!))))

Steve the shadowing on the breakfast is wonderful and the little shreds of cheese and chives in the foreground is the perfect touch.
I need to learn how to do dark background as it gives some foods such as your burger great pop and wonderful dimension.
Both photos are really amazing!!

Your DW’s lemon drizzle cake looks really yummy, what did she use for the fill?
Love the fresh look of your baitbox.

thanks !
the filling on the cake is "butter cream" (you mix butter and icing sugar together) and added some lemon zest to boost the lemon lovely'ness

I spent phantastic days travelling through Australia and Bali.
At home I try to replicate some of the dishes we had
My last example is Pisang Rai – Balinese Banana Bites with Coconut
We really liked it a lot!
Sorrry, I can only share the photo, I can't give you some bites through the screen!

Awalde, that is (excuse my swearing) an effing AMAZING photo!! Congratulations! It will go well in any fancy coffee-table cookbook! Wow, chef, that is just SO enjoyable!! Wish I could do that!!!!!
Ex-host, the German Thorsten, would say there's a lot of blue ... difficulty with white balance. It does not bother me. The food is exactly the right colour!

lol thanks, its years of taking photos, that make me create better looking dishes, I think
here is the next batch
lamb kebabs for tea
Other half was making a curry for our tea/supper (chicken rogan josh) then our daughter came around with the grandchildren because she hurt her ankle (shes ok) and had to go to hospital. When they came back they stopped for curry (the children had egg, chips and beans earlier).. so this is her curry, I made naan breads to bulk it out for the 4 of us
my naans
the unplanned breakfast as the grandchildren stopped the night (to make it easier for daughter hopping around)
our breakfast
then being mothers day all the children and grandchildren came around for tea... roasted chicken and the works
braised lamb steaks
then another rush job, she had to go out with other daughter around tea time, so made a bolognese sauce ready for tea time. I came in from work and spotted it, so made the garlic bread and stuck some pasta on.
and last night we were on bacon, egg and chips for tea
Steve
