I was given a shrink-wrapped smoked turkey. No instructions. What do I do to serve it? Thanks.

The last time I bought one of these, I think it took about two hours in the oven to heat it up. Check the Butterball site, they sell a smoked turkey.

In terms of serving it, however you like plain turkey will work with the smoked. I smoked my turkeys at home until the smoker was damaged and I buy the Butterball smoked turkeys, which I think are very good.

If it's a fully cooked smoked turkey you can just slice it cold, too.

I am new to this type of site. Is it within protocol for me to post a thank you to someone who responded? I do appreciate the advice.

Sure feel free but it's not really required. We would be interested to see how it works out for you, what delicious things you make with your smoked turkey.

Remember to use part of it to make split pea or cabbage soups. I buy smoked turkey drumsticks at my market for this reason particularly.

Type cabbage soup into the search bar, click on the red magnifying glass button, and you'll get more cabbage soups than you ever thought existed!
I checked the recipes duonyte has submitted into the site's database, and this one came up. Lithuanian Cabbage Soup (Kopustu Sriuba)
