    Good Afternoon NorthwestGal,

How are the Thanksgiving preparations going? Probably like mine -- slowly! icon_lol.gif

I've missed talking to you as we have both been so busy - hope all is well with your family and of course, have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

My daughter just emailed from Paris -- she is having a wonderful time and she just left the Palace of Versailles - wish I was there. She has had a chance and a trip of a lifetime so I'm so happy she was able to go.

I'll be here making my tags and hopefully will report back before your shift ends.

Oh, dear! May I please switch recipes for my baby? It is my final recipe but I don't think I'll have the time to make the stew, although I will make it at a later date

wave.gif Hi, Nancy. I'm glad your daughter is enjoying her trip abroad. I should be so lucky!

And like you, all of my pre-Thanksgiving tasks are going slowly. There is so much cleaning to do in between that gets in the way of cooking! I finished the cranberry relish yesterday and got the stuffing started (chopped onions and celery, etc). Today I am trying for the very first time a recipe for make-ahead mashed potatoes. I hope it works out. The recipe was highly rated, so I'm confident. Tonight I get the pies done, and I'll start my roll recipe (which takes 18 hours to rise in the refrigerator).

And all day today, I'll polish the silver and hand wash the crystal and china. We use all that less and less as each year passes. But Thanksgiving is the one day that I make sure we bring out the fine china, crystal and silver. I kind of enjoy getting it out for such a happy occasion as Thanksgiving.

    We'll have to chat soon!

Oh my, china and crystal -- I'll bet your table is absolutely beautiful tomorrow. My table this year consists of appetizers, dips, sandwiches and desserts and my fine china has been converted to paper plates. I will, of course, use my regular utensils - no plastic stuff for me. And we will use real glasses.

We're going very casual so the grandkids can spend time with their Mommy and we can view all those wonderful pics from Europe.

I'm definitely gonna take my extended-release B-12 tomorrow, drink coffee, and eat my power pills -- dark chocolate espresso beans. Hope it doesn't backfire on me.
