    Hubby is bringing home a small bag of persimmons from a girl at work. Does anybody have persimmon recipes they recommend? I've never eaten one before! icon_eek.gif

    Yum! We make Persimmon and Cranberry Pie every Thanksgiving, and my husband made some persimmon date muffins the other day that were gorgeous!
    If they are Fuyus, the tomato-shaped ones, they will be less astringent than the Hachiyas, which are heart-shaped and loaded with tannin. Hachiyas must be really ripe to be edible.
