is having his first doggy-day care day. icon_eek.gif

    And I'm a wreck. icon_rolleyes.gif

I dropped him off at 7 this morning, and my husband is supposed to pick him up between 11 and noon - keeping him within the half-day threshold.

I haven't heard a word from anyone, which I can only take as a good sign, but still.

I'm a wreck. I want to call and make sure everything's okay.

One doggy daycare place in town has webcams. That would be a good idea, I think.

Hopefully my husband will give me a report the MINUTE he gets home.

My husband's email said "they said he was a good boy." And that's it.

I called the place when I got home.

Apparently Jar is not a fan of fun. As in, he told other dogs to stay away from him, and they did.

However, he did get a little uptight when they started playing (without him) and did not like it at all. To the point where he had to be sequestered, evidently.

Though the guy I talked to said he didn't come in until like 9:30, so he doesn't know what happened between 7 when I dropped him off, and then.

Hopefully he'll get the hang of it. icon_sad.gif

    He will Kris.
Maddie would prefer to be the only K9 on the planet and the at daycare they keep her outdoor play area for her alone. The first time they tried to take her on a group walk she snapped at some young dog who stuck his nose up her butt but settled down once he was lassoed. Subsequent visits she has joined the other dogs on long walks with no issues. She still doesn't want to play but at least she isn't in kill mode there.

Sorry I didn't see this yesterday. I know how worried you must have been. They really are like our children. icon_rolleyes.gif

    Thanks. icon_smile.gif

I'm going to have to get together with them about the situation - I'd hoped to get him in there again this week, but they said they're booked. Next week is the holiday, and (supposedly) the following is when the crew starts.

If it's something he'll ease into, then great, I'll take him once a week forever. But if he's being kept in solitary, I can deal with that while the contractors are there, but there's no need to continue it.

Meanwhile, I think I'll see about taking a day that week off and maybe visiting my mother with him. He DOES get along with their dogs, though he'd still rather be up my butt.
