I am making some of the desserts for Thanksgiving. I need a recipe for a gluten-free pareve dessert. Please nothing too complicated (don't have time for complicated) and nothing with lots of expensive ingredients. Any suggestions?
TIA.

I do have a lovely ice cream cake recipe,
if you can make a cake with gluten free flour and wine or apple juice instead of dairy or you maybe able to buy a kosher one, the Osem cake is ideal.
get some pareve dairy free iced dessert, maybe Alpine, soften that a little
cut the cake into thin slices on a base of baking paper and film and make a rectangle shape. Spoon the ice cream into the middle and roll up like a roulade, quite tight. Wrap this up with more paper and film and freeze for a few hours.
The unwrap and slice, serve with a chocolate sauce made with coconut oil and dark chocolate.
I have made this many time, hope its understandable.

Ducky, If the gluten-free person can tolerate oats, how about an apple crisp recipe like this one, made with pareve margarine instead of butter
Edna's Apple Crumble (Aka. Apple Crisp)
I would serve it with frozen Tofutti in place of ice cream...
There is also a specific forum for people who eat gluten free or who cook for someone who does..I bet they can give you some ideas!

Jeri- that's a really nice recipe! I've saved it into my Pesach cookbook. The only issue regarding making it a pareve recipe is making sure to use pareve chocolate chips! I try to only keep pareve chips on hand so I don't have to think about it, but you have to look carefully to find the brands that are pareve and not dairy.
Thanks again for posting the link here!

Depending on how much time you want to devote to it, I just came across this recipe:

Thanks for the suggestions from everyone. Fortunately for me, someone else has volunteered to take this on and I think they are making brownies.
I am able to get parve chocolate chips here. There is only one store that carries them. I have 2 bags to use to make the chocolate covered pomegranate seeds.
