I'd like some information on Justin Warner's show. When will it start? Day and time please.

Food.com and the Food Network are owned by the same company but are not the same thing. icon_smile.gif

Thanks for the heads up Dee and Zeldaz! Justin Warner won the Next Food Network Star contest this summer and I haven't heard a peep about when his show will be. I thought it would start the following month...

I checked the website and it just said "Fall 2012," unless I missed it. Not very specific.

I took a peek on their website, too, that's all I found. I never watch Food Network any more, got tired of seeing how an onion is chopped over and over, as I have had a handle on that for several decades. I see he likes to have a healthier slant than others, so maybe I'll check him out when and if his shows air.
Goldenxylem, will you let us know when you find out? And give our regards to silverphloem!

His show is about weird food, not healthier food.

An interview led me to believe he was into healthier eating, but if he isn't, I have no reason to watch.
"I really truly believe we should love our food and by respecting it and by loving it we can learn to make healthy choices and learn to live a healthy lifestyle. We live in a fear based food society sometimes and I don’t dig it.... The goal is to treat food as something that nourishes us as opposed to something that is potentially bad for us."

His recipes posted on the site don't seem weird to me, but neither do they appear to be especially healthy or unhealthy. Oh, well, guess I'll be passing on this guy.

I thought it was weird to use aspic for the dressing on a grilled Caesar salad, which is what he did on his tryout pilot. icon_lol.gif
