I have plans to start cooking some things for Thanksgiving today. Everyone else getting ready for the holiday?

Kind of, I am making a pumpkin cake for a potluck at work tomorrow, The cooking for Thanksgiving doesn't really start until tomorrow night. Luckily I an not the one "cooking" Just have to make a couple of side dishes.

I usually just cover the dessert and am good to go for Thanksgiving, but this year I am cooking everything except the turkey and am driving 4+hours with it all!

I am trying to get as much done ahead of time as possible(which is sort of new to me!) so I don't have to hog the kitchen at my in laws house. I will be cooking my stuffing/dressing in the crockpot and will make fresh veggies Thursday afternoon, but everything else will be made and reheated.

Well, I both love and hate these one size ship boxes. the dimensions aren't quite right for my tins, and that's ok, because my cookies weren't the right size either. Oh well. I finished my first batch of cookies and they're going in the mail in the morning. I told J. that I didn't get to the cut-out cookies, I'll send those next weekend. Three of the five I baked were new to me.

I know what you mean about fitting the cookies in the tins then the tins in the box, it can get a bit frustrating! Just let me know when each package ships and I'll get you updated!

Box #1 is on it's way! I did the label at home so it doesn't look like I can track it, but it does have delivery confirmation. I had to drop it in the chute, so here's hoping no box of cookbooks lands on it before they get it moved! One down, one to go.
