Yes! Super easy. And it was a great way to use up some vanilla ice cream... we ended up with 3 qts extra after using the rest with pies, so it was a nice change

^^ This will be on the official Thanksgiving menu next week!
Hey, CG - whoops, my goof for putting your tag (above) in the wrong place. It's all fixed up now.
BTW, that's a beautiful picture!
To all of our American friends, how did Thanksgiving go??
I have a funny story about cooking lavender... my sister was hosting a dinner at her house, and one of her guests was a chef, so she was trying to be extra fancy. For desert, she was making a frisee (I think that was the name, laff - it was some sort of an ice, but served soft-ish), and she was using lavender. Anyway, when she was serving it, the chef asked, "hey, where did you find the cooking lavender?", to which my sister promptly pulled back all of the plates and returned the dish to the kitchen. She thought lavender was lavender - and had used the stuff you put in your drawer, and not cooking grade lavender.

Awhile back someone reviewed one of my lavender recipes posted here and I think, although I can't say with certainty that the reviewer *may* have used lavender from the craft store.
Frisee is a type of chicory. I'm trying to figure what dessert you are talking about...

Hmm... I thought it sounded wrong. I'll find out from my sis and let you know!

Hi Folks,
As December quickly approaches, I thought I'd ask what kind of Swap/Tag we should have this year for the holidays?
Here are the options:
> A normal Veggie Swap, just like this month;
> A casual Veggie Tag, just like last December, see Veggie Tag, December 2011;
> No Tag/Swap - Let's resume in the new year.
What are your thoughts??

Hey CG, it was a Semi Fredo (sp?), from Jamie Oliver. She's going to send me the recipe.
Meh, Frisee, Semi Fredo... potato, banana, you know.

I like what we did last year in December but it really doesn't matter.

Casual tag was fun last year. I'm game for either casual tag or a regular swap.
