During the months of November and December, I am having a SPECIAL.

Any tag that represents Thanksgiving and Christmas(with ingredients listed below) recipes, will be qualifying tags, though any recipe can still be tagged, but
Qualifying recipes would include :
ham, beef(not ground), turkey, prime rib, leg of lamb, chicken, stuffing/dressing, cranberry recipes, desserts, pumpkin, potatoes, or any recipe with Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, or Christmas in its title.

For the 5th completed qualifying, tags and reviews that is completed ..I will make and review one of your recipes. (1 review per person) though you may tag as mant recipes as needed to win the contest. The person with the most completed tags at the end of December 31st will win a prize, which would be a 50 dollar gift certificate of your choice, which would be mailed, or 2 cookbooks of your choosing, that I can have ordered and mailed to you.

Hi and Welcome to the I Recommend Tag Game. I am your host Doug (weekend cooker) for this game

I Recommend Tag is different in that we pick recipes which have already been reviewed; so how can we go wrong? Come on in and join us as we search each others reviews for some great recipes.

Everyone is welcome to play. The only requirement is that you've tried and reviewed at least 10 recipes.



Quick Rules

1. Find out who is IT and check out their recommendations (reviews).

2. Choose one of those recipes to make and post a reply to let us know. Include the chef name, recipe number and recipe.

3. Make that recipe within two weeks, review it and report back.

Detailed Rules

The object of this game is to prepare and review recipes that other members have already tried and reviewed. Basically, you check out the reviews shared by other players and try recipes based on their recommendations.

WHO CAN PLAY? Any member who is not on our Restricted List in the forum and who has REVIEWED a minimum of 10 recipes.

To see if you are on the RESTRICTED PLAYER LIST, click [http://www.food.com/bb/viewtopic.zsp?p=5250628]HERE[/url] and search for your name. If you are on the list, you must make the overdue tags first to be removed before you can tag in any game.

HOW TO PLAY:
Find out who is currently "IT" (the last player to commit to preparing a recipe).
Check out the "Reviewed Recipes" posted by that player and select a recipe that you also think you would enjoy.
Post a reply in this game, letting us know which recipe you want to tag. Here is the best way to post your tag:

From weekend cooker's reviews, HokiesLady will tag Recipe #xxxxxx, #xxxxxx

The X's should be replaced with the actual recipe number. If you space it like this example, an automatic link will be created by the site.

Now your reviews are IT. The next player will then choose a recipe from your reviews.

Prepare and review the recipe within 2 weeks time, then report back to this thread to let us know you'd made the recipe. Photos are welcome too! Your tag will be marked as complete when your review has posted.

When you chose to tag someone’s recipe, you are committing to making that recipe and reviewing it within 2 weeks (14 days). We realize life sometimes does get in the way of our cooking/tagging, so if you aren’t going to be able to meet the 2 week deadline, please ask us for an additional 2 week extension before the deadline.

Players will be put on the Restricted List once they have passed the 4 weeks (28 days) deadline, unless they have special circumstances. If you feel you have a special circumstance preventing you from completing a tag within 4 weeks, please contact me. Once on the Restricted List, you will no longer be able to participate in any of the games or events in the “Cooking Games with Friends Forum” until you have made and reviewed any recipes that have you on that list. This is done in order to keep it fair for all players in the games. If you want to make sure you are not on this list, please go HERE and look for your name.

Substitutions:. Sometimes you tag a recipe and then later realize that you just won't be able to make it - either you are having significant ingredient issues or just don't have time for that particular recipe. Please select a different reviewed recipe from the same chef that you originally tagged. Then post a message to this thread asking for a substitution, using the standard recipe format above and remember to tell us who's reviews you were tagging. Be aware that your substitution will still be due on the due date of the original tag.

If you happen to mistag a recipe, you automatically agree just by playing the game that you will make a corrected tag, even if you already made and reviewed the wrong recipe. This just makes it fair for all players.

Hi Pammy

You don't need to make a cookbook unless you want to. Once you tag someone, then all of your reviews will be available to the next tagger. They can tag a holiday type recipe for the contest - but don't have to. HTH.

I'm a bit thick too - especially around the waistline.

It doesn't have to be a holiday recipe that you tag. But if you're interested in any of the prizes that Doug is offering - the more holiday recipes you tag the better. They can add up by the end of December.
