Thanks, Paula. We are in fairly rural area, with big trees still in full leaf. With LONG power lines which run through those trees, a major trunk line down, will put tens of thousands without power. Traffic lights at intersections will make being on the road very dangerous. Amazing how so many people don't know how to drive a lightless intersection as a 4-way STOP !

Hurricane planning here too. Horses are getting ready to spend a couple of days in stalls and small paddock, cows in loafing barn near stream. Janey, have been thinking of you!!

Janey and Andi, hugs and prayers out to you that you won't endure too much hardship from Sandy. We've gotten all the lawn furniture stored for the winter and I'm almost done with laundry. Worked all day (remotely). Whew! Now it's time to hunker down!
