So glad you liked everything, Dominique! I had a blast making the dish towels - was my first big project with my embroidery machine. If you find some little screw-ups, sorry! Thought they would be perfect for your new apartment. Big hugs! Sharon (Hey! Last I checked, Canada had the same days of the week in the same order as the U.S.A. - since when does Thursday come BEFORE Wednesday?!! LOL)
I saw that the towels were out of order after I had taken the picture and was ready to post it. Was too lazy (and tired) to take a new one just for that, lol

I have to apologize to my wonderful partner Kathleen (Kath #3) for not posting sooner. I didn't want to open my package until she had hers
I finally did and haven't quit smiling since...the package is absolutely perfect and I love it! She sent me an angel ornament (and she has dark hair, hoorah) a cute snowman angel ornament with my name on it, the cutest ornament that is a ball of yarn with knitting needles through it, I LOVE yarn...and all fiber arts especially crochet, a package of Pennsylvania Dutch Shoofly Cake mix, a ball ornament which has different Christmas materials on it, very unique and my DD wanted to steal it as well as my Christmas socks, a package of Lindt candy, two different types of sprinkles, candy cane and snowflakes, two different packages of goodie bags as well as small and large sized Christmas baking cups. It's so funny because I feel like she knows me
Thank you so much Kathleen, you put a lot of thought into my package and I hope you feel my hugs and smiles across the miles.

So I've been working the night shift at Canada Post all week (midnight til 8am). Told myself I was going to go straight to bed when I got home because I have to work at my other job at 4pm. Well... Santa came early with my swap package from Sharon the Rocket so I had to open it and take pics and post here!
I'm loving everything Sharon sent! Firstly, since I'll be moving into my new place on Saturday I'm glad I received it before then Secondly, I was going to just go to the dollar store and pick up some tea towels.. but now I don't have to!! I love them! Of course I won't be changing them every day, but I figure I can use them to keep track of how long they've been in use (i.e. take Monday out on Monday, use it for a few days then take out Thursday and put Monday in the wash). We'll see if that actually happens, lol.
The ornaments are are lovely. I'm assuming the cardinal is a native winter bird in Missouri, as it is in some Southern parts of Canada. The one that says "Welcome Friends" will hopefully find a spot on my door. The cookbook has SO many recipes. I will have to browse it a bit more in depth when I come home inbetween work later tonight.
Thanks Sharon, you Rock(et)! See what I did there?

Hi everyone. I am just not receiving notifications for this thread....grrrrr.
Everything is back to pretty-well normal, Angela, thank you for asking. And you, too, Brenda.
Angela, besides the little book, which I know you have received, there are 2 more packages on the road for you. I expect you'll be getting them any day now.
As usual, Sandy, you've done an awesome job.
Back to catching up on this thread.

My parcels from Evelyn arrived this morning. There were some absolutely beautiful tree decorations, a glass pomegranate with an info sheet all about the tradition, some saffron, bay leaves and oregano ( I think!). I had also been sent a little Greek cookbook last week too. thank you so much it was a lovely surprise. will take a picture later and post. I am getting a bit worried that mine hasn't arrived yet, hope it won't be much longer
Oh good! I'm glad you like everything. And that IS oregano - don't try to smoke it!!!
I think your parcel may be waiting for me to pick up at the post office as my DH found a note slipped under the building's door notifying me that I have a parcel to be picked up (they do that with things that are too large to fit into a mail carrier's bag). I'll send someone round to the post office tomorrow and let you know if it's yours.

I finally borrowed my sister's camera to take pictures of my swap packages, To be honest, they are so dark you can't tell much about them, but I did try and I did take several picked the best of all.
From my partner hope2day I received the following
2 ornaments that look like drink glasses, one wine, I guess the other is a martini, they are very cute,
A snowman ornament
A big box for putting gifts in, everything is setting on top of it.
2 Tea Light holders that can be used as village pieces, very cute
3 bowls, the middle size one is in the front of the picture, unfortunately two of them didn't make the trip.
another snowman ornament that has suction on it and flashes when turned on, very cute
Another ornament that is long and has a present hanging from it, it is behind the right candle/village piece, but it does not show up much.
My favorite thing a cookbook. I love, love, love cookbooks of any kind.
I really wish my picture was much better but this is the best of all.
Thank you hope2day for a great swap.

 Hi eveylyn
You need to link to a photo that is already held on the web to show a photo in the forums here on Food.com.
I use Photobucket to upload my photo and then use the [IMG] tag to display the photo here in the forum.
