Oh Tink, that is sooooo true; not only with this popper but with any gadget that would suddenly appear on my counter.

I checked out that Hamilton popper and it looks similar to one I had a LONG time ago, minus the arm - we don't eat much popcorn, but maybe that would change with a good method as I do love theater popcorn. Just cannot get into any of these micro bags.

I'm not really a popcorn eater. Growing up, dad was always making popcorn to snack on, and now DH, DS & DD love it like crazy. I really only eat a noticeable amount of it when I make my caramel corn. I don't even crave it at the movie theater. I might have one or two bites, cause it smells so good, but that's it. I just hate how popcorn gets in my teeth.

I would like to try this popper though, because it's a much healthier snack for my family than candy, cakes or cookies. And because DD can scarf down a whole microwave packet all by herself! So this would save us a lot of money. icon_wink.gif

I've made a couple popcorn recipes posted here over the years. This one is my favorite. It's so flavorful that we've never missed the butter when munching on this recipe. icon_smile.gif
I only just realized that I didn't post a photo with it. I'm pretty sure I had started taking food photos before or around the first time I made it, so I don't know why I didn't take one. icon_confused.gif I guess I'm gonna have to make a batch! My DMIL & her DBF is in town though, and she was the reason I tried this recipe in the first place. So, it might just be perfect timing.

Anyway, check it out. You won't be disappointed! icon_biggrin.gif
