Seeing a number of people have already started asking about this year's swap, thought I would start the thread that "officially" opens on the 15th of OCTOBER!!!! WHOO HOO!
I am VERY E-X-C-I-T-E-D to be back as your Seasons Holidays Host and this year's swap will encompass all country's, cultures, religions from around the world and their holidays during the months of November, December and January too!
This year I am hoping people from all countries, cultures, religions will join us and perhaps can enlighten us all to their country's, culture's, religious holidays and their significance too!
So please start spreading the word to people who may want to join, but are a little dubious to do!
If anyone has an special needs for the Seasons Greetings, please send me a zmail and I will TRY and accommodate your request.
The rules are pretty simple:
--- You sign up, you send a card.
--- You can sign up multiple times to send multiple cards.
--- This thread is about spreading Seasons Greetings to one and all; let's try and be on the Mickmeister's Nice list and not the Naughty list lol
--- If anyone has any personal questions or issues, I am asking you to zmail me and I will address your zmail as soon as possible
Sign ups will commence on the 15th of October and will close the 22nd of November. This way it gives those people whose cards may take a little bit longer to also receive them by Christmas.
NOTE: In general, cards coming to Australia from the States (for example) MAY take up to a month; possibly longer; Then again, I have received cards from the States within 3 days
All I ask is that people send their cards from the heart
I am not putting a price on the priceless to me (friendship) as I know from experience some people like to include very small homemade items (ie bookmarks, teabag holders etc), so all I ask is people to accept what people send with open hearts.
People from last year's swap will know I lost my entire family last year; all is good and am happy that everyone is where they are supposed to be, together, happy once again for each other of them to see!
So this swap takes on a personal nature for me to be able to host my Food.com family
.....................................................................................
If people from last year's swap would like to leave some comments about how the spirit of the holiday swap went last year, that would be welcomed until the thread "officially starts"
I, as host, do and will exercise my Mickey code of conduct / behaviour principles towards any comments deemed not in the spirit of the Season's greetings
At the end (Thanks Susie D), all participants will be receiving the following banner
WHOO HOO!
********************* Please also feel free to share any special food related recipes and / or photos that are in the Seasons Greetings Spirit!!!
Think that just about covers everything....
Start S-P-R-E-A-D-I-N-G the word....the Mickmeister's Seasons Greeting Swap is BACK IN TOWN!!!
