    Will post recipe.

Simple beef stewing meat (or beef tips) in the crock, red wine, a pkg of beef gravy mix, water, onions, white or button mushrooms, garlic - and turn on. Cook 6 hours until tender and falling apart.
Serve over NO egg, wide noodles. Fresh parsley would be nice, but my plants are still newbies, so dry will have to work. But it is dry from my own plants. HOW easy is that.
    On the side, green beans.

I don't usually use a pkg mix; but when I inherited the house from Dad, he had some 20 pkgs of mixed gravy mix. I hate to throw anything out; and they are probably 3-4 yrs old; but they are still fine.

It worked great. I hate to just toss them, when I can make a meal with them.
Not to bad if you add fresh herbs, wine, broth, and really jazz up the mix

But thx, it turned out yummy and easy was the best part.

Wonderful color and composition. The hint of greens from the beans helps emphasize the rich brown of the gravy. Very nice.

Thx diane ... I am always eating after dark, so lighting is always an issue with me. But we try. It was half light for this pic, but it was easier than some to photo.

Comfort food on a rainy, well, off an on rainy night, lol

Thx guys, this is just such a quick put together dish and inexpensive too. One of those go to dishes that always seems to come out good, and since it is in the crock, it is so simple which is always a good thing.
