I'm so sorry too. I hope that soon your sadness will turn into happy memories. I sure wish these warm furry parts of our lives/families lived as long as we do. But I hope you can find some comfort knowing that she was a lucky dog who had the greatest people looking out for her and putting her needs and comfort ahead of everything else. Big hug!

I am very sorry to read about your sweet doggy.
Don't worry about reviewing my recipes. Ask Loula
to transfer them to November's tag game.

Thanks for all of your warm wishes. I got all of the ingredients for my tags, I just need to make them. The toughest thing now for us is to slowly remove her things. DH picked up her food bowl, and we need to give her food to our daughter for her dog. Acadia's numerous balls and toys are still around. I placed her bed in the basement. We still have our two cats so we aren't petless, but we are certainly in no hurry to get another dog just now. After our experience trying to manhandle an 88 pound dog, who had major difficulty standing, getting down 4 steps in and out of our house, barely walking we have decided our next dog if we do decide to eventually get another will be small. A kind we can easily pick up and carry. Just like people we are hearing of more and more dogs affected by bone cancer. I suppose it was always around, but with everyone being so connected, we are more aware of it. Acadia National Bark her full name was 12 years old this past July. Since she was older then most goldens, I half expected her life to end but she was in such good shape up to a year ago, so it was hard to believe that the end was just around the corner. She was one of those great dogs that you remember always. When talking about her we would refer to her as AA so she didn't feel it neccessary to get up and come over when we mentioned her name in conversation. Such a sweet and loving dog. And yes, she is in a pain free place and hoepfuuly she will be waiting for us when it is our turn to walk the walk.
Thanks for listening!

We fell in love with Acadia National Park on Mount Desert Island when we were up to Maine vacationing. I always figured our next dog's name would be Glacier National Bark (Glaci for short) as we loved that Nat'l Park too.
